The very notion this season can be frozen until next year just so you can play your last view matches is ridiculous.
I`m still not convinced they wouldn`t have bottled it. A few weeks before it was stopped we had Carra trying to tell Roy Keane it was the greatest English team ever and Keano just said , well lets see what you win by the end of the season . This was followed by the greatest team of all time getting beaten twice by a fairly average Atletico doing a job on them , Chelsea beating them and Watford twatting them easily , they were a team in serious trouble at that point , definitely saved by the bell.

It is mad cos deep down they will know they haven`t actually won one and were gifted it for getting close . They will still be desperate to win a proper one where there is no doubt as they`ve been close a few times now but slipped right at the end . My neighbour is a season ticket holder , 72 years old and even up to when the last game was played he wouldn`t celebrate , he always said to me if anyone can feck it up it is us , those were his words .
The voiding idea is ridiculous anyway. Sensible thing to do is what the Dutch have done and declare it unfinished no relegations no champions.

This is a much bigger risk of catching the virus because unlike say, Tesco workers, these guys are actually kicking and spreading sweat and spit on each other.
Voiding is what the Dutch did though. Although that has turned out controversial because out of 36 clubs in the top 2 divisions 16 voted to have champions with relegation while only 9 voted against (others abstained) but the Dutch FA took the decision to void the season.
French FA have to decide how to judge the season.

The Premier League are too scared of the tv companies, they need to show some backbone. I think that's the only reason why we're still talking about restarting the season. People question the integrity of the league if they void it but I think they're trying to make too many compromises to restart it which also puts the integrity of it into question.
It`s quite funny that having no top level football is going to hurt the oil owners , the Glazers , Levy and fellas like Mike Ashley having to shell out wages .

Not to the extent that we were going to throw away the title from the position we were in though. That'd take a side which had lost twice in the PL over almost two seasons to suddenly lose 8 or 9 games. Everyone knows we had that league done and dusted (unofficially). Also City weren't winning all of their games.
I do agree with you though that any title win now would feel hollow. Seems a bit worthless to me at this point.
Yep, the next round of TV contracts is only a few years away and there is more company's in or entering the British market since the, dazn Amazon, Netflix will all possibly what some of the pie next time, or potentially launching a platform themselves.
I hope they introduce a streaming service for the Premier League in England. It's great in Canada through DAZN.

it doesn’t matter that Liverpool are almost certainly going to win the league if the league played out. How far do you take it - I reckon the odds are greater than 50/50 that Man Utd would finish either 4th or win the Europa League - therefore we should be given a place in the CL?
I'm not saying that we should be awarded it, just that if things had carried on as normal we would've wrapped it up within 2/3 weeks.
This may well be a moot point now - but in terms of the contract issue - Plymouth only have 5 of their players under contract as at 30 June.

almost certainly you would have. No one is arguing that point that Liverpool winning the league was the most likely outcome. But of course we will never know.

no not at all. It’s very common in the lower leagues. Clubs can’t afford to offer long contracts, very rare to see anything over 2 years. Most clubs will have a large % of their squad out of contract in the summer. Some will sign on again, but the turnover is massive.

definitely - I really hope there is a distribution of wealth. PL clubs, whilst it will be tough can cope without gate receipts, lower league teams can’t - and fans aren’t paying £10 a game to watch live streams of L1/ L2 matches. Clearly a few will, but not in any significant numbers to make up for lost revenue.
