You're oversimplifying the issue. Why do you think the handball and ice hockey leagues in Germany were cancelled pretty quickly? Do you really think they couldn't have put a similar healthy and safety concept in place like they did in football? There is just no point in playing without fans when there is no TV money to pay for it.
Here's four aticles on the MENS EFL League Two being cancelled. I hope this helps with your very legitimate concerns on gender equality in football.

You are not answering because you know deep inside that it is wrong to cancel some leagues and keep going with some others. Same country. Same association. There is a minefield and PL (mens football) are stepping on everyone of them. While chasing money they are destorying its credibility along the way. They are doing it wrong way. And to cancel womens Premier League but (trying to) keep going mens is just one more mine they are stepping on.
What you say and show is ONE MORE excellent point why Premier League should be stopped as it is. Everyone either play or don't. Simple. As I said, every day there is something coming up that don't help Premier League in their bid to keep going.
There is still gender issue. Two top Leagues. One is cancelled, the other is trying to keep going. Difference? Gender. And money.
But more importantly, not same league. And in Germany's case, not even same association. Which is why the restart of Bundesliga I and II was decided weeks ago (by the DFL) and the restart of the women's 1st and men's 3rd league only today (by the DFB). What is being done in one league should have no bearing on what happens in another. The men's and women's first divisions are worlds apart. You'd have a much better case if they cancel the Championship but not the Premier League as these two are much more similar. And even then, restarting the top division shouldn't mean the second division has to follow.

- all these associations independently consulted with their CLUBS and THE PLAYERS at length before voting and coming to a decision. The Men’s Premier league decided to continue. The EFL and Women’s league decided not to. Please get this.
- The main reason is that there is far more money in the PL and their Tv deals meaning they are best equipped and have the best facilities to put these testing measures in place. The EFL and women’s league do not have the finance to meet the running costs at putting all these testing measures in place. That is the main reason behind cancellation. The men’s PL is ultimately going to have to pump money into the EFL and the women’s game to stop them going under. You cannot say nobody is to play. Now we don’t know how exactly that is going to work, it’s still being discussed but it is 100% clear that the PL has to continue to make money in these coming months because it effects everyone along the football pyramid, the sooner you get this into your head the better.
- There is no gender issue at all here, and I actually find it quite repulsive that people are going down the gender inequality route to try and score points. Your suggestion that as they are the two top leagues makes them equal is actually laughable. The two are not even remotely comparable.
Above all else what makes your stance so completely ridiculous is that the top divisions in Spain, Italy, Germany as well as a whole host of other countries, have all either started or are planning to start the playing of their top division. The way you carry on you’d think ENGLISH PL had gone on some rogue personal crusade.

Also always funny seeing posters demonize this need for the league to make money. People acting as if it's an evil act for the league to try to make as much money as possible. Of course they need the money to survive and keep things running further down the line. They needs all those tv money that they've already paid clubs.
It's hilarious how ignorant some people are, they think the league just runs on good wills and well wishes. Somehow all these folks haven't realized that money is needed to keep things running
So Boris has now announced that all non-essential retail to open by June 15th. I’ll say again, I’d be surprised if the 'no fans at stadiums’ thing will last until New Year. With the shopping centres full, train stations and trains crowded etc - I can’t imagine how we can justify a stance towards sport alone that is not consistent with the rest of society for such a length of time.
Because social distancing is (or should still be) applied in shopping centres, stores and the likes - social distancing is inherently not possible for fans attending a football game, which makes a huge difference.
Half capacity or something for stadiums should be possible though, yes.
I imagine they will have 20% capacity stadiums for the start of next season in the Autumn but I don’t see full stadiums for another year or so.
Wonder how they would decide who gets to go to the games. With 60k plus season ticket holders it will be interesting to see how it ends up for us.

Getting near to the 40000 deaths in the UK and some people are still whining to continue the PL at all costs because there's money involved.
Think it might be closer to 50k but still a hell of a lot of people. Obviously a percentage of that won't feel safe or even be able to travel for a while but there's gonna be some pissed off people if they're told only a select few can go.Holy shit! What, how do you compare the two? I don't know if it's different in your country / in England, but arent you still meant to take measures while in public? wear masks, keep distance in shopping centres, so on?
The difference is that at a football match you're forced to sit close, unless it's at a smaller capacity. And football is something society "Looks up to" - so would be wrong to have packed stadiums at least, as it sends a wrong signal. Maybe 20-40% capacity.
Anyways, it probably also changes the situation quite a lot that remdesivir, if given in right time, reduces 80% of what would later on be deaths.

Yea, this is something I’ve been in favour of. I can’t see how reduced capacity isn’t an option.
Think they might count people at the doors and once it's full, it's full. At least that's how the stores operate over here right now, there are huge queues at a lot of stores because once they're filled up, it's one in / one out.

You'd have to stagger people leaving grounds, limit people going to the toilets, food stalls etc.
How would it work in rows? You'd still have to get everyone in a row moving to let someone out? Unless you have 2 in a row!?

Different parts of the stadium need to get in at different times to avoid queues - per stand, and then per section. Rotate it so you only have to be in the stadium 2 hours in advance once every four games or so. Leaving the stadium, likewise. Rows would be filled crosswise to maximize distance between people. Then face masks, hand sanitizers, avoid touching surfaces as much as possible, ...
It's possible and it will be looked at as soon as it's safe enough to allow a certain percentage of fans into the stadiums, no doubt. Although if authorities would impose a total ban on mass gatherings including football games for the remainder of 2020, that would of course put a stop to these ideas.
it’s just not workable is it. Even if on entry, you could do it - how does it work at half time when 50% of people need a piss, and then at full time when everyone is leaving at the same time.

Would work a lot better at a ground than in supermarkets, shops etc. People are stationary watching the match at a distance from the other spectators rather than passing each other all the time.

You won't be allowed to leave at the same time. Last ones in before the game should be the last ones out, and first ones in the first ones out, also per stand and per section. Maybe they might contemplate keeping the drink&food stands closed, and that your'e also not allowed to leave your seat during HT. Take a piss at home before the game, and if you desperately need to go during the game, you need to exit the stadium and can't re-enter. Harsh, but the only workable solution - you simply can't have fans arbitrarily choosing when to go for a piss during the game because in that case you can't control or keep your social distancing rules.
I dunno, maybe it's just too complicated. But if there's even a slight chance that this would work, I'd imagine clubs are already looking into making it happen. Even at 1/3 stadium capacity, the gate revenue of Old Trafford amounts to a million or so, probably.

It's always not safe until vaccine. Some people start working not because it's safe but because they have no other options.
Footballer have the luxury of not playing for a good few months, they just want the money from tv deals.
Footballers don’t want to play either, it’s the higher ups and owners who are seeing their coffers drained who want to fill it up.
And there are also thousands and thousands of ordinary working people who livelihood depended on football, the tea ladies, cleaners, ground maintenance, hospitality etc... With inadequate support from the state and no football, they are the real losers of this mess.

It would take two hours to get in the stadium, then 105 minutes worth of football/half time, followed by another two hours of leaving, that's almost 6 hours without being able to piss or get refreshments - that's without taking the travel time to and from the stadium.
Guess it could solve the question of which of the season ticket holders get to attend though, have a contest of who can last longer without going to the toilet - anything under 6 hours and you're disqualified.
No, FIFO would mean you get to leave immediately after the game if you had to go in two hours beforehand. And I'm not saying that's the way it'll happen, but it's a possibility - otherwise fixed moments for each section of the stadium might be an option too, but if the toilets at OT are anything like those at Anfield, I don't think it's gonna be workable without breaching social distancing requirements.
