Does anyone have the article in the Times today? It's behind a paywall and while I was half interested in reading it - definitely not enough to pay Murdoch any of my money.
I don't want to imagine Madrid if we lose Cristiano for several months.

Not the biggest fan of Hazard.Asensio is very young yet.It wouldn't be good to give him so much pressure, although I think if we ask Cristiano he would say that Asensio is the best candidate to take his place in the future.Hey, you can buy Hazard or the new version, why you need him when you have Asensio.
Yes,Bale was on the left.It was in general an average match of all the teamHow was he today other than the goals? Did he play centre forward?
I don't know, too long until the next market(I assume that they won't get a top player in the winter market).Although if we need an striker maybe we'll need to meet with Levy againWhich player would you go for now that Mbappe is at PSG?
I don't think you have anything to worry about, he'll keep going until Messi stops. Not the biggest fan of Hazard.Asensio is very young yet.It wouldn't be good to give him so much pressure, although I think if we ask Cristiano he would say that Asensio is the best candidate to take his place in the future.

I am sure about that, nobody can match his competitiveness.Hopefully his knees will resist 2 or 3 more years at this levelI don't think you have anything to worry about, he'll keep going until Messi stops.![]()
I think Ronaldo has at least another 4-5 years of 40+ goals a season and I hope they are at Madrid. He's clearly looking after his body in such a way that age won't effect his output as much. Hope he reaches the 800 goal mark before he's done.
Don't think that's going to happen. Injuries at his age are tougher to recover from and all it takes is a bit of bad luck. He's already being rested and playing less often too which means he'll be scoring less goals.
Where would Madrid be without Ronaldo, eh?
What a player!
absolutely no way would they have 3 champions leagues in the last 4 years.
They have that Hawkeye thing in tennis and the players still regularly argue the decisions...kinda weird the way he went to grab the ball after his penalty. probably a bit overboard, could tell that he had "messi only scored 2" in his head.
also, did i see him claim that the ball was over the line and the 4th official pointing to his watch saying that goalline technology said it wasn't over? they have GT in the champions league right? why was he arguing![]()

id have him as a better athlete than IBRA and capable of the longevity, whilst being an obviously superior player.
where do you think he'll end up goals wise?
He really does not seem like he'd be interested in moving to China. I can see PSG getting rid of Cavani to get him though, he'd easily score 40+ goals in the French league, and he'd help improve the brand image of PSG, while making them top dogs to win the CL.Well, it will depend on injuries. He's played an incredible amount of games as a professional, it won't take that long until he's had more appearances than the likes of Giggs and Maldini who played until their 40s so even though he looks in good shape, he'll have to start slowing down some day.
He's at 610 goals if you count the friendlies with the national team. If he doesn't get a serious injury I think he'll end up passing 800 quite easily. He'll only retire from the national team when he wants to as he'll be 40 and we won't have a better goal scorer than him so as long as he decides to play he'll be scoring goals for us. I think he'll want to stay until he breaks Ali Daei's record, that's 33 more goals for the national team, so 643 total. Then if he scores 40 goals per season for Madrid he'll reach 800 career goals in about 4 seasons when he'll be 36. Knowing him he'd probably play until 50 if necessary just to get to 1000. That's if everything goes perfectly. If injuries start causing him problems then he'll probably go to MLS and still finish at about 800 goals.
What I'd like him to do and think would be perfect for his career would be staying at Madrid 2/3 more years, win 1 or 2 league titles + 1 Champions League and then move to a different club to try and win his 6th Champions League title with a 3rd different club. Hopefully he takes that route instead of going to China or to the US to make loads of money and rack up goals.

The greatest goal scorer in the history of the game.
Not even a debate.
Great goal scoring machine ever, unreal.
I have my doubts about that, from a marketing point of view, I think his team will want him to stay at Madrid or move to United. PSG doesn't have the same ring to it, and it's not like he'll be hanging out with the locals anywhere he goes.I always thought he'd end up at PSG after Ibra left. They're one of the few clubs capable of giving him an insane salary, there's a huge portuguese community in Paris, it would be easier for him to score loads of goals and he'd still have a big chance of winning the Champions League. It would be perfect. After this summer I'm not so sure anymore but it might still happen.
They absolutely do now, having signed Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar alone has converted millions of people into PSG fans overnight. There's a reason they were willing to pay what they paid for him. PSG might never become as big a brand name as Real but they don't have to, they just need to be big enough.I have my doubts about that, from a marketing point of view, I think his team will want him to stay at Madrid or move to United. Are they PSG fans though? They may wander around in PSG shirts with Neymar on the back, but they're just as likely to be in Bayern/Real shirts with Neymar on the back as soon as (if he ever) moved. They absolutely do now, having signed Neymar and Mbappe. Why would Ronaldo care about that? As long as he has fans adulating him and donning his shirts, I doubt he'd care of they were true PSG fans or not.Are they PSG fans though? Unless PSG do win the CL to cement their place in the top echelon of European football, they won't become big enough for the foreseeable future.
I'm sure his marketing entourage care about that, of course if they pay him enough, he may help to grow their brand, but basically only 2 clubs in the world has a big enough brand to work with the CR7 brand and not just rely on his brand. Why would Ronaldo care about that? Not even a debate? Since joining Madrid Ronaldo outscored Messi 4 times in all comps and Messi outscored ronaldo 4 times in all comps. I'd say its about even for GOAT goalscorer. Not even a debate.
