Ronaldo and Messi don't hate each other. It's a professional rivalry, nothing more.

Credit to him for correctly calling out the likes of Qatar, Dubai, and MLS as an undignified way to finish ones career (as in, they are basically retirement leagues).

Ronaldo is not declining as fast as some here are saying, he has Benitez as a coach for God sake and he's playing a position he doesn't like at all (striker) and he already proved years ago he sucks at front. I think moving Ronaldo to that position is a florentino's plan to make the fans in believing Ronaldo's done so when he leaves nobody will cry for him.

MLS is growing and I believe in about 10 years we will see a very strong league. Sometimes I go watch Philadelphia Union and I really like to see the support they receive.

To be fair he said he's not about the money because he's mad more than enough basically when asked about a City money move.

The dvd's already in the shops, price £13.99 or one Gaitan.

Pfft. Already downloaded it on iTunes last week. Watch it in bed every night

White text. I've only seen it once. Promise! Although I may or may not have worn my CR7 boxer while watching it.

I think he and madrid both know his time there is up. Florentino has publically asked him about his comments once, he has called the club out on sacking of ancelotti. He also was upset at the way benitez wanted to use him. He said in defeat against sevillia that benitez plays too deep as in typically benitez style they were defending a 1-0 lead and lost 3-1. Maybe benitez was appointed to do the dirty work. I think perez wants mourinho back, now that casillias is gone .Benitez is just a teansitional manager for letting the transition from ronaldo to bale take place.

Too little talk about Ronaldo's performance levels this season. How has he been so far? @Vato
@carvajal @jojojo
He is too busy complaining for everything and promoting his movie, for him must be a nightmare to be getting older. Now is in the process "I wouldn't rule out any league","in football you never know...".
Hopefully he will focus and we will enjoy some nice last 6 months in Madrid

Dailymail saying Madrid want close to what they paid for him. Would be madness for us doing that kind of business. I hope sense prevails and we realize that his time here is finished.

It would be complete madness but I don't doubt for a second that we'll still get something around those figures for him.

The question on everyone's lips is...can they get the paperwork through on time?

It wouldn't be as bad as first seems if they did get that back from us.

For a start, we got €94m for him which was £80m in 2009. Now that would be £66m.

That's just taking exchange rates into account.

On top of this, €94m in 2009 was far and away a world record fee and was nearly 50% more than the next largest. This, while still steep for a 31 year old and still amongst the most expensive transfers, would be much closer to market value in the current climate.

Just to make it clear, it's not a good deal in anyway, I just think those things should be considered.

He's still worth a decent amount of money. I'm not sure how much he would add to the commercial aspect, but I imagine it would be great deal given our current marketing campaigns.

He has consistently said that United are in the past..I am sure he appreciates his time here, but very much doubt he'll come back. He might still stay at Madrid for perhaps another season, and then maybe join PSG.

People just don't want to admit that in the face of a lot of evidence to the contrary.

Realistically he would be worth close to what they paid for him, like said above with the exchange rate that is only £60m+, his name alone would be worth that to us considering were a marketing machine these days. He could be the last key for us winning 1-3 titles before he retires from football too which you can't put a price on these days.

When you talk about what he's worth, he could be the difference between winning trophies and not and winning pays for itself. He would give any team in the premiership a big advantage so it's not so simple. In addition to that, it would only attract other players. A spine of De Gea, Smalling, Schweinsteiger and Ronaldo wouldn't be too bad would it?

I don't see him coming back here either. What's the motivation? He's done it all here already.

If Ferguson was here, I think he'd have a good reason but the fact of the matter is that only Rooney and Carrick (off the top of my head) remain of his old team mates and Moyes stripped the back room staff. He'll know in reality it won't be "like he never left" at all. It'll be PSG.

As much as I'd love Ronaldo back here surely he'd rather have a chance of winning the Champions League one last time and lets be honest he's a much better chance of winning it with PSG than us unless with the addition of him we strengthen a lot (Again) during the summer.

New TV deal, record breaking revenue...

We'll spend a fortune again this summer.

Came across very well in that interview. Seems to constantly joke about the idea that he loves himself. Also its nice to actually have someone who is clearly soo family orientated no controversy just a big focus on improving his family. Didn't find it particularly boring and is a much more interesting interview than if it was joey barton or some "extroverted" footballer.

How is dropping to a lower level to continue playing football undignified?

Easy payday instead of going out on top? Not that I necessarily agree, but I think that's the general notion. I feel that a significant part of, for example, Cantona's legacy is that he walked away a winner at 30.

Or a way to prolong your career doing your dream job?

How many players are lucky enough to go out with a bang anyway? Seems to me that there are a lot of factors involved in being able to remain relevant in the big time at 34-35. And I find the attitude towards plying your trade at a lower level a bit snobbish.

People still clinging to the idea that footballers don't play for the money. Some players actually help raise the level of the game at these lower leagues, but yeah.
