10 goals in Champions League Semi Finals. That is at least double anyone else.
 
I actually think he was one of Madrid's better players today but i suppose thats not saying much. He really struggles to impact a game. Unlike other great players he just doesn't have that magic where he can turn it and on and win the game all on his own when his team needs him to.

He might score a goal set up from another player but he is unable to influence a game. When people are calling him one of the greatest ever i think that is insulting the great players who did more for their teams than he does. One of the greatest ever goal scorers but to call him one of the greatest ever players i think is wrong and to compare him to Messi is flattering him.

I'll check'em out:

The only vital goal he's scored is against Bayern on the 2011/12 season. He scored two goals at Bernabeu. They got eliminated though


Then at United he did score against Arsenal twice, against AC Milan once...

No doubt they club has no achieved what they would have hoped whilst Ronaldo has been there. But realistically a younger and better player, playing for a better club, has been around at the same time so it's no wonder they haven't achieved 'enough.'

You know me Marcos, I started the OG Messi thread and I enjoy winding Cal up just as much as you... But credit where it's due, that's an amazing record he has for Real.

i was kidding, Ronaldo did everything to win every tournamente he played, the thing is that many times his teamates werent as good as needed for that
also he had to face one of the best teams in the world
as far as i like to make fun of Cal, Ronaldo has my sympathy
 
He was very good last night. Modric's injury has ruined Madrid's season. And Iker's mistakes in the league.

He was very good...eh? He was very quiet.

Iker hasn't made many mistakes in the league this season either.

It is full with small time posters here. Not giving credit to players/teams and belittling their achievements due to personal agendas is truly pathetic.

I dont think its that deep, i just think people are getting accustomed to over-analysing his every move - which happens every season, it just so happens that Ronaldo hasn't had a god-like performance in a long time, like he normally does to shut his critics up....so until then the jokes will continue to fly, when you combine that with his age and the state that this Madrid team is in, he's probably not going to get a fairytale ending to his GOAT-like career.
 
Hard to believe that he is getting criticism for a season in which he has scored 55 goals with double digit assists (to put it in perspective we have scored a total of 70 goals this season) . He also scored in both legs of the semi final, made the winner in the quarters which happened to be a derby, scored in both legs of Round of 16, scored in 5 out of the 6 group stage cl games and scored in both El Clasico fixtures.
 
Was an average performance overall. Kinda sums him up these days if this performance was considered very good.

I disagree about that. One for one imo Ronaldo had the best teammates in the world. I don't think there is a position in Real's team that you can call a "weakness".

Chemistry, on the other hand, is another issue.
 
Real Madrid has never had a system since Cristiano was signed in.

And with Mourinho, they clashed against IMO the best football team of all Times.

People believe these stupid stories too much, I don't know why people try and make footballers look good/bad with false info. Just to reiterate though I don't think Cristiano should now be criticised for not donating that amount, charity shouldn't be a contest.
 
If I were a bastard I'd posted that on friends wall who the other day commented above an article saying he donated all that money sthing like - where's Messi when you need him.

All this Messi this, Ronaldo that stuff is tiresome to say the least.

Two. They live by a different set of standards to the rest.

Maybe in 5-10 years we'll go back to thinking 40+ goals a season is a tremendous feat and 50+ virtually unheard of.

For these two, 50+ is par.
 
FFS. Whoever starts false rumours like these etc. should f'n be arrested. I know, bit of an overreaction etc. but not only are you now putting pressure on someone like Ronaldo, you're actually also using a real catastrophe to further what selfish agenda/cause?

There's actually not much more in this article than that quote. His Patellar tendinosis condition might be getting worse as he's never rested.

In 2009 Mark Hughes said this:
