Serious note though, has Ronaldo past his peak? Still one of the best two players in the world no doubt. I do feel he is getting to the stage now that when he doesn't score (which is rare) he doesn't add much more to the team.
Caveat this by saying i didn't see there match last night. Coming to this conclusion based on performances last season when he had a bit of a drought.

It's too easy for him. Even when he doesn't score for 3 games in a row, he'll just score a hattrick the next match and still have 3 goals in 4 matches. Then he'll score a brace in the match after that and is on 5 goals in 5 matches and that's how he keeps up the 1 goal per game ratio. Too easy and not purely because of his finishing but Real Madrid creates so many fecking chances on average.
That an the utterly absurd number of penalties he's scored for them too.
He'll always get bags of chances in games like this, and even if he does lose a bit of pace or whatever, he'll still finish most of them off. I know if other players scored those goals a lot of talk would be about 'shit defending'.
