Darren Fletcher | Moves to Stoke

Right? How could you forget that Phil Bardsley moved from Stoke to Burnley for 1.5m.

He definitely should have been booked eventually but I thought he played well and I'm happy to see him doing well.

Always like Fletcher. Also gave us an immense 2-3 years or so. Big miss in the UCL final, no doubt. Even more furious was that it was a perfect tackle on Fabregas, iirc.

Loved that tackle and love Fletch. So pleased for him to see him still doing well in the PL. Being Scottish probably has something to do with it too :D

Hahaha no bias then!

But yeah, just a pity about his bowel problems which made him miss a lot of games and affected his form :(

Haha aye just a wee bit! :D

Aye it really was like, robbed of a few years at United which is a real shame :( Great to see he's back fit now though.

One of my favorite United players to this day.

He plays for a different club so I expect him to be a pest when we play against him. Otherwise it's all love.

Read that he hasn't missed a single game since leaving United.

Happy for him.

Amazing record at his age and also considering his injury problem he had.

33-year-old Fletcher has just played his 100th successive Premier League game, becoming only the eighth outfield player to do so.

That is 15 more games than any other current streak. Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is on 85, while Cesar Azpilicueta, with 70 consecutive appearances for Chelsea, is the closest outfield player to Fletcher.

But Fletcher will need to feature consistently for nearly two more seasons if he is to top Frank Lampard's record for an outfield player of 164 consecutive matches.

Both have to go some way to match the all-time Premier League record, with goalkeeper Brad Friedel playing 310 games in a row during spells at Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.

Love me some Fletch. I also didn't get the needle he got from the caf about him being a bit of a cnut playing against us, as if he should roll out the red carpet for us and not get stuck into us.

Him moving on was for the best for both parties but I'm made up for him that he's got himself right.
