This guy really is a star, even Casillas said something about worrying about his place in the Spanish team and Iker has seen off plenty of pretty good keepers already.
Casillas has been fairly rubbish for about two years. He's lost his physical courage and always comes for the ball with his feet.
Big match tomorrow, very excited to see him make his competitive debut.
Agreed. I think both he and Buffon have lost their status as the two top keepers in the world. (I still massively respect them)
Edit: As for De Gea I thought he looked phenomenal during the open training today.
I reckon Valdes and VDS were the two best keepers in the world last year. I don't see the massive hype around Ceasar. Good keeper, but he reminds at times of Dida
Valdes is not that great either. Does not instill any confidence. Prone to mistakes. Just that Barca are a good enough team to overcome those deficiencies.
Valdes has improved a lot and didnt make many mistakes at all last year. He was solid for Barcelona

I think Rio or Vidic should've dealt with the first. He should have done better with the second, though it did take a wicked swerve.
Get the pitchforks! A young keeper makes a mistake! I'd be more worried about the CBs not closing him down and Evra giving away a stupid FK for the first. He shouldn't have been in the situations but was put into them by more experienced/better players.

Should have had 2 hands on the second let alone saved it and I dont know why he was off his line for the first. Very worrying.

Terrible marking on the first. He should have gotten the second but he should never have had to deal with it as neither of our CM's closed Dzeko down and Rio and Vidic backed off, allowing him total freedom.

Gea conceded more goals outside the box than any other keeper in laliga.

I'm not sure how he was supposed to get two hands on a swerving shot. May be a touch around the corner was the minimum he could have achieved.

Did you see the way that Athletico Madrid played last season? He probably had more shots to save than other keepers. Can we have that stat in a more useful form, like a %?
First one was shocking defending from Rio but should have done better for the second.
