David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

Spineless.

Anyone who hires him now deserves to be relegated if he lands another top flight job after his last 3 successive failures

Mans a joke, he could have salvaged something of his career by having a go in the championship and trying to bring them back up but hes opted for the cowards option.
Please let him find another job quickly, so we don't have to suffer him as a pundit.
"So what did you make of that chance Moyes"
"Its more than i got at United, i'll tell you that. Did you know i managed them?"

Norwich City perhaps? Poor David - put all his eggs in the Januzaj basket hoping he'd be the savior. Sam Allardyce has proven to be a far more effective manager on a shoe string. Moyes was decent enough at Everton but he did have a good bit more money to spend there than most clubs outside the top 6. He's been shown to be a one trick pony with tactics and doubt he'll be seen again in the PL

So much for ol' Moyesy not being given enough time to work his magic. Just a totally shit human being who masquerades as a honest, hardworking man when he is a complete fraud.

The Utd job has completely broken him.

I honestly think it's probably for the best that he's resigned for his own sake because I think he would have struggled big time next season in the Championship. Hard to see where he goes from here, he's complete shite.

Maybe a pundit job in Qatar or something?

Makes noise everywhere he can for years that Manchester United should have given him more time, but when he relegates a club he wipes his hands clean and walks away?

Ready to go reacts to the Moyes resignation

'feckING PRAISE THE LORD HOLY feck IM GONNA RUN THROUGH THE STREETS WINDMILLING MY COCK HAHAHAHHAHAHA'

'Scenes in my pants right now. Nearly crashed my car when it broke on the radio celebrating'.

'GETTTTTTT THE feck IN!!'

'WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'

'GEEEEEERRRRRRRIIIIIIIIN YAAAA BAAAAAASSSSSSAAAAAA'.

We know that feeling

Nothing less than I expected from that coward. I pity whichever club are foolish enough to hire him next.

I'd say he's actually done the good thing, allowing Sunderland to get someone more suited for the championship in while forgoing the payoff but that would mean he recognises he'd struggle to get them back up. Probably just doesn't want to manage in the championship.

This guy is mentally so weak. He can be a perfect manager for arsenal football club.

You've got to feel for the guy on a human level. From landing his dream job to being perceived by everyone, everywhere as a total failure all in the space of 3 short years. That's got to be tough to take.
If he's not so bitter about his tenure here and is taking whatever opportunity he can get to take a poke at our club I would feel for him. feck him.

Don't agree that no compensation was given, surely Moyes owed them something after that campaign.

What an absolutely idiotic thing to say, I'm sure it made you feel big though.

Dry your tears, princess, I meant for it to come across as shit bloke. Dont worry though, I am sure there will be plenty more opportunities for you to be a SJW.

Full credit to Sunderland for getting him to resign - I was one of those sure he wouldn't go without a pay-off, but they have managed to avoid that - probably their best achievement of the season.

Also congrats to Sunderland fans on the news - they desperately deserved some good news after what they've been through this season. We here at United know exactly how good this feels.

I think he'll be back in a job soon enough - my opinion of club chairmen isn't very high, and the media will be pushing for him to get any Premier League job where a manager finds himself struggling. His profile is sadly too high overall for him not to be in the running for any Premier League job that comes up, despite his now blatantly obvious shortcomings.

It'd be easier to feel sorry for him if he wasn't a blame-shifting tosser.

He was shite at Everton as well. Achieved absolutely nothing. Our xenophobic media will have us all believe he was great there for some reason :wenger:

He was legitimately a good manager at Everton. I will always defend his tenure there.

Both Everton and Manchester United under Alex Ferguson maintained consistent inflation-adjusted payrolls and consistently performed better than other clubs at their level. Newcastle’s performances and wages have fluctuated, but it has only one above-expectations season (fifth in 2011-2012) and many seasons in which above-average wages paid for a mere mid-40s point total.

This chart stands as yet another statistical marker of the unparalleled greatness of Ferguson, but it also reminds us of the tremendously impressive resume of his successor David Moyes. On a budget running about one-half to one-third of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, he consistently built competitive sides.

Barcelona are about to announce their new manager and Moyes resigns at Sunderland. This can't be a coincidence.

A bitch move from Moyes. Just compare him to someone like Benitez, who stuck with Newcastle and brought them back.

Newcastle were in a far better position to bounce right back. Their squad was too good to be getting relegated to begin with. Sunderland's is awful and will finish in the bottom half of the Championship. The writing has been on the wall for a while now.

It was posted twice, so it must be true!

Would not be shocked to see Sunderland engaged in a free fall down the leagues

The problem is he makes it impossible to have sympathy for him. Arrogant, deflects all blame, and corners all the praise.

Not defending him but... if he stays you get people saying "he should do the honourable thing and fall on his sword" and "he won't quit because he won't get a pay off, how pathetic". He resigns "how pathetic, what a coward".:wenger:

In seriousness, best decision all round for all concerned.

I disagree. He didn't win ONE trophy and Everton are supposed to be a big club, no?

He was treading water there. Everton achieved nothing under him. What will the Moyes years mean to Everton fans? At least their previous managers won FA Cup finals etc.

He's always been a depressing, bang average manager and I hope he disappears into obscurity now.

Because midtable clubs have won tons of trophies in this era. Having stability like Everton had under Moyes is rare especially since they were a side usually battling relegation before he showed up.
