David Moyes | West Ham in talks with him for managerial job

God feck this gif. There's a million things to dislike about the man but not this.

Actually you're right. Let's remember all the good times.

I remember that David Moyes took United single-handedly to a Champions League quarterfinal, and won a Charity Shield. He was just Fabregas, Bale and Ronaldo from winning the CL.

Joking aside, what are his chances of getting another job in the premier league this year? Would be great to see him at Stoke.

Still though. With all due respect a Manchester united manager shouldn't need to go mental going 2-1 ahead of fecking fulham.

God forbid it's a cl final against Barcelona his heart might jump out
They still can't get the wet stain out of his chair in Munich after we looked good in the tie for those few minutes.

It would be right up his alley but I bet he would jump at the West Ham job first. Both sets of fans would explode if he was hired. He is basically poison now to the league and should really be settling in with a team in Scotland or the Championship, he can only benefit from a club where the only way is up. But this is Moyes so nothing is guaranteed.

Carlo Ancelotti has spoken about being offered the chance to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United boss in 2013.

As the Reds great was coming to the end of his lengthy time in charge at Old Trafford, he set about securing his successor.
That included a Paris meal with the next Bayern Munich manager in the spring of that year with "really expensive" wine that Ancelotti very much appreciated.

It was not enough though for him to consider replacing Fergie.

“I had already spoken to Real Madrid,he told the Times.

“For the experience, a manager has to go to Madrid. If it hadn’t been for that, I would have come, 100 per cent.”

The job eventually fell to Everton manager David Moyes, who lasted just ten months before being sacked and replaced by Louis van Gaal.

Lets be honest mate that proves nothing, he was asked if he would have taken the job if it had been offered. He doesn't confirm an offer. Plus the meal Ancelotti and Ferguson had where this conversation supposedly took place was in April 2013, after Ferguson telling Moyes not to renew his Everton contract in February and the infamous meeting at Fergusons house which very likely took place before April.

He doesn't say too many bad things there to be honest - just his denial that he accelerated the 'decline' of us is frustrating. But at the same time, hopefully helps us in the long run.

How the hell did he become our manager? He was totally inadequate, overconfident and under qualified

That'd be utterly depressing for Everton fans (and football fans in general since we'd have to suffer his face once again).

He'd be incredibly lucky to get that job back. Does not deserve another Premier league position after three consecutive failures in top flight football.

Reuinted with Everton and Rooney.

Don't see what could possibly go wrong. Everton fans must be buzzing at the thought.

Linked with an Everton return.

Weren't they saying all sorts when Moyes moved to united and Martinez went to them.

That'd be some serious karma if this does happen.

In what other industry can you fail, fail, and fail and suddenly get linked with top of the line national and regional jobs when they become available?

In what other industry is a person friends with and regularly feeds information to the people who create such stories.

There could be nothing to this story beyond Moyes media buddies keeping his name relevant and in the mix. Its the same reason there are new Moyes quotes about United every few months.

If Dave doesnt get a new job soon he'll fade into the same managerial obscurity the likes of Curbishley and O'Leary slipped into years ago. And these journalists wouldn't want to lose a great source like Moyes.

Politics and entertainment, which is basically what football this week has been.

...Retreats...Returns...Relegated...Resigns Again....

Rooney must be salivating at the thought of a new fat long term contract.

Given how poor Mata was yesterday Rooney would have been than him for sure.

I'd be offended if he returns to Everton. So undeserving of a job of that size.

Lol, if he goes back to Everton they are finished.

They deserve each other. Miserable shite club, miserable shite manager. Match made in heaven.

Davie Moyes to relegate them proper and for good.

Am I giving Everton too much credit to say there's no way they'd be this stupid?
