Italy were poor because of a bad setup by their manager, but they have good players like Bonucci, Veratti, Jorginho and Insigne. I'm being generous with the 9 times out of 10, Korea were shocking today.

Is it just me but has there been a huge amount of falling over, holding faces and petty free kicks given so far this World Cup? Ive seen on multiple occasions someone go down from tackle, but the ref fails to play advantage and the games have become so staccato and shit.

Italy is still probably better. They're probably better then Bosnia but we pretty comfortably beat South Korea recently. Theres a big gap between pretty much every European side, and any asian side here at the World Cup I'd say.
Italy have been knocked out of the group stages at the last two WCs for a reason.
In 2010 they didn't even score a goal.
Not qualifying was just the natural progression.
Italy's biggest problem was the coaching and the Italian FA deserves all the profanities you can throw at them for sticking with Ventura for so long. Having said that, the squad was more than good enough to be in this WC, definitely better than some of the teams we've already seen.
