Day 5: Sweden vs South Korea, Belgium vs Panama and Tunisia vs England (19H00)

Fantastic checking and delivery from de Bruyne. If only Neymar had 1% of his ethics

KDB needs to work on his goal output. We are looking at a legendary player if he could improve in that area.

Witsel and Brock Lesnar as a midfield two doesn't seem to be working too well. Martinez will rue his decision to feud with Radja.

Love how this narrative has already been written, it will be the ONLY reason they don't succeed if they do not, despite their good form in the run up to this WC and the fact they have under delivered for years.

I'm not Martinez's biggest fan but this just seems lazy.

Look at the talent on the pitch. If they aren't motivated or underperform, it has to be the manager's fault. Unlike Argentina's players, these Belgian players have the drive and desire, so what's left is the coaching.

Even now the attack isn't as fluid as it could be despite having Lukaku, Hazard and de Bruyne on the pitch.

9 times out of 10 are stats based on nothing
Saudis are terrible so you would be right but I see nothing in Italy that makes me think they would better consistently Korea. They really are that bad

Did you even watch the match today? Korea were shockingly bad. Could barely string two passes together. Most championship sides play better then the,.

Italy were poor because of a bad setup by their manager, but they have good players like Bonucci, Veratti, Jorginho and Insigne. I'm being generous with the 9 times out of 10, Korea were shocking today.

Do they?

Hazard just wants to be a hero

Not sure if Panama is going to be one of those "charming" minnows.

Is it just me but has there been a huge amount of falling over, holding faces and petty free kicks given so far this World Cup? Ive seen on multiple occasions someone go down from tackle, but the ref fails to play advantage and the games have become so staccato and shit.

Did you watch Italy recently though ? I swear some of you guys are hooked on names and watch zero actual football. S.K was shit but Italy isn't better

Italy is still probably better. They're probably better then Bosnia but we pretty comfortably beat South Korea recently. Theres a big gap between pretty much every European side, and any asian side here at the World Cup I'd say.

Italy have been knocked out of the group stages at the last two WCs for a reason.

In 2010 they didn't even score a goal.

Not qualifying was just the natural progression.

Italy's biggest problem was the coaching and the Italian FA deserves all the profanities you can throw at them for sticking with Ventura for so long. Having said that, the squad was more than good enough to be in this WC, definitely better than some of the teams we've already seen.
