It's a foul but some of us are not sure it's pen worthy.
It’s not though. He’s not in possession of the ball - shouldn’t be a pen as he was no longer actively involved in the play.
I think it was defo a pen. Just cos he played the ball already doesn’t mean it’s not foul.

Surely if it’s a foul, then it’s a penalty? There is not some higher benchmark when assessing penalties. A penalty is a foul as equal as any other, just that it’s inside the box? Or am I missing something?
Shouldn’t be a penalty if the ball had already gone though. The contact after didn’t affect the way the ball was played. Penalty should be awarded for denying an action in the box.

What the hell are people saying the ball was gone. That makes it even worse, it was completely mistimed. It wasn’t even a slight touch, his ankle was bending.
I only understand that argument if the ball had gone out for a goal kick or something. Even then, he’s still been fouled with a mistimed tackle.
