Twice if this happens.

Yeah. Real don't half love buying our players, both cast offs and players we would rather keep. It's as if they're trying to prove a point. Then again they're odd. Last season they photoshopped the crowd to make it look as it it were full of Real fans. Insecurity.

Who cares what will media say really. They're a bunch of ABUs mostly anyway.

But how will it affect him? That's my only concern. Also, the fans will not stand by him that much if he starts making mistakes, or at least I don't think they will. As I said, I wouldn't mind if we sell him for 40m euros.

It depends on what van Gaal wants to do. If Dave stays and he will stay play Romero, then of course we should just sell him. The best thing would be still to keep and play him and then get a top replacement next year. We won't get a proper one this window, the best we can hope is Navas in exchange for Dave. Even Cilessen is probably not that easy to get, Ajax confirmed several times that they won't make it easy for us and he shouldn't be our candidate anyway.

If he stays we have another month of this to look forward to in January. I hope Van Gala doesn't bench him for that entire month as well.

Its a matter of principle. We have our valuation of Dave, if Madrid don't meet it then tough titties, no deal. We're not obligated to sell just because its Madrid knocking. Meanwhile, if we don't have Dave's focus, then there's no reason we should play him ahead of Romero who's done a fine job so far.

So long as Madrid don't pay what we expect and Dave isn't focused, then he spends the season on our bench. Simple as that. The circumstances could of course change but its not up to us.

Fair chance he'll sign a pre contract agreement with Real Madrid in January.

Someone in the match day thread said that he had removed the ManUtd or MUFC or whatever it was from his Twitter account. Not sure if that is true though.

No reason why they should. We certainly can't complain if Ajax adopts a similar attitude to the one we have about De Gea.

Let him rot in the reserves all season, then flog him to Athletico Madrid for free.

Surely we can decide to just NOT let him go to Real? I hate to see them get their own way each and everytime. It's fecking disgusting that they won't give us Bale but insist on us giving them De Gea. They're the worst club to do business with. I hope their stadium gets bombed.

I find every single one of your posts very entertaining.

All coming from a report in the Independent lmao.

Don't believe for one moment Real will be offering £30m at this point. Moron journos just scrabbling for plausible sounding United stories now all their club sources have dried up.

Unless there's already a deal for Oblak or Leno lined up selling him now would be suicidal, even if LVG plans on sticking with Romero until he has a bad game.

Er..............if we let him rot in the reserves all season he'll be able to go where he wants next Summer and there'll be no flogging!!

I've checked his Twitter and yes it no longer says man utd player in his bio, could mean he's on his way.

I hope he does go we might aswell get some cash for him now whatever it may amount to what's the point of wasting him on the bench for a season paying his wages and letting him go for free next year. Might aswell cash in.

The question right now isn't "is the term 'man utd player' there?". No the question right now is "was the term 'man utd player' ever there?".

It may also mean that his throwing his toys out of the pram with the move looking unlikely..If the move was done, he would have no reason to do that

Berahinho unfollowed WBA on twitter!..Kids

Really that's quite pathetic actually haha.

Either way, make no mistake about it, De Gea is a cnut.

I can accept him wanting to go back to Madrid for both personal and footballing reasons, even if that club is a circus and it's the bitter rivals of the team he grew up supporting. But he's shown feck all gratitude to us in the way he's gone about it, not signing a contract so Madrid can bend us over and rinse us. We paid almost £20m for him and were patient with him whilst he was a young GK and nutured him into a top class one and he doesn't give two shits whether we are compensated properly for doing so. Madrid are fecking loaded and could easily pay his true market value, if they value him so, yet DDG and Mendes have still decided to take the easy way out. He's not even got the sacks to come out and say he wants to leave, probably protecting his own reputation, whilst behind the scenes backing Utd into a very difficult corner. Cnut.

EDIT: We should stick in reserves for the rest of the season. He can't expect to hold us ransom and not expect the same in return. Let him enjoy missing out on the Euros.

'Confident they'll bring in Cillessen as a replacement', but no news so far in Dutch papers.

Frank de Boer has said 2 weeks ago: We haven't had contact (hinting at MUFC their interest) and I hope their won't be any. It's getting late in the window and all 3 our alternatives are gone, the pool of replacements is getting thinner aswell. Jasper is getting more expensive each week.

Today he's been asked about Cillessen again and he repeated that we haven't even made contact with Ajax. Cillessen sunday also confirmed we haven't contacted him or Ajax, de Boer is now fully expecting him to stay. I'm not sure if they're even willing to sell Cillessen now as they don't have alot of strenght in depth and their second keeper is Diederik Boer who isn't really a number 1 for a club like them.

Before today's game I stated that DDG needs to leave.
However, after seeing the ease with which 2 goals were scored today...I've had a change of heart.
Call it knee jerk...call it whatever you want, but we shouldn't be selling our best player to Madrid so easily.

Reading between the lines, the ball is well and truly in Real's court, if they stump up what we want, DDG will be a Real player cum Tuesday.

We have made a complete mess of this situation, I actually agreed with our stance till a few days back but surely we needed to have a deadline for the deal anyway, I can't believe that one day before the window closes Lvg comes out and says that he doesn't know if DDG will stay or not and it's upto Madrid. I was so pro Lvg but his decisions and some of the stuff he says in the media are doing my head in

If Madrid pay up, let him leave. Best player or not - he doesn't give a feck for us. If he stays, play him cause he'll have no choice but to perform if he wants to impress Del Bosque for upcoming Euros.

Sick of this sage, I hope Real gets stuck with a transfer ban in January for constantly tapping up players with no real bids until everybody is sick of it.

We can't let him go now, simple as that. Our stance from the start should have been that we wouldn't sell, he is our best player and we need him this season.

I agree. Even if they bid what United want today, it has to be refused, and De Gea has to play the rest of the season. It gives De Gea a year to be Spain's #1 for next summer, and it gives the club a year to sound out a replacement. There's no time to replace him now.
