:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: This made my day. We sign Navas and let the ungrateful twat sit on the bench and watch. At the same time, Madrid get totally screwed over. Some part of me can't help but feel this was all deliberate? If it's true that is.. because it would really leave Madrid in the shit Goalkeeping wise and teach them a great lesson about not coming to United for their future talent.

Delighted if he's staying, feck real madrid, bunch of cnuts trying to treat us like they treated Madrid for bale. Serves them right

From what I hear, Woodward was watching the new Lenny Henry sitcom on the iPlayer and forgot to press "send" on the fax machine.

That bloody Woodward. Is there no end to his madness!

We are known for deadline day dramas but this one definitely takes the cake. Right up there with Herrera and the three amigo lawyers.

Cant see it being true but what a massive balls up by Madrid if it is

We would not get Navas obviously.

This isn't exactly the best thing for us. He goes on a free and we don't get Navas. Plus he still isn't exactly happy to be here. Will he regain his form and focus.

This isn't exactly a good thing. Van Gaal still stubbornly won't play him and Madrid will snap him up for free next year instead of us getting €40m.
Can't trust ballbag but if he stays then we have to play him.

This really isn't good though is it. We are gonna have a pissed of de gea all year, who knows if we can trust him after all this?
It's Madrid's fault. They're the ones that took ages to make an acceptable offer. They could have had de Gea a long time ago if they coughed up.

This can't be right. What on earth:confused:

He'll kick up a fuss and probably won't play for us much anyway. Was best for him to go.

Nah, I still think deal will go through like Falcao did last year.

He is staying for the worst possible reason

Our admin teams sheer incompetence and further makes us look like we are run by a bunch of clowns

Done it a month ago? Gave Madrid a firm date and when that wasn't met, play him in every game and say tough shit? (unless they wang up the full amount).

And if they didn't engage until now?

Not playing him was the perfect strategy IMO, took away one of his main bargaining chips of potentially going on strike.

Though I think we've handled it fairly well, the best thing would have been to put a firm deadline and told him if we don't get our valuation by a certain date, we are not selling him at all this close season. It's up to the buying club to show they have enough interest in buying him as we want to hold on to him as we really value him. Tell him see if the other club truly values you.

Also, de Gea needs to perform. He's got the Euros coming up next year.

You can imagine Woody picking up the phone to Madrid saying all the right things - "yes we'll start negotiating about De Gea. Sorry about before - let's try sort this out now shall we?". Agree terms and what not. Just missing the final bit of paperwork and Woody just ripping it up in their faces.

Drops the mic.

There's never been a deadline extension in Spain.

I'm really chuffed but I hope De Gea is prepared to play well for us and doesn't get all depressed and shit. Manchester winters are nasty.

boom!!! i voted yes he stays from the poll started and never changed ...i was right all along !!

Well then they'd have left it too late and at least we'd be stuck with DDG who has played in every game so far this season!

Feck you Madrid, please be true!

Why would you want this to be true?
We miss out on the money, have a goalkeeper the manager won't play and have Utd's name smeared again where transfers are concerned.

I think it's a disaster personally.

Marca said:
Se confirma la noticia: De Gea no será jugador del Real Madrid al cierre del mercado. La transferencia no ha podido hacerse a tiempo
Apparently it's confirmed  Oh dear...
