Good then.

:)

It's not about moaning or anything, it's always about Manchester United and how we do on the pitch. Anyone situation that helps us is favorable to me.
Making Madrid look like mugs or whatever doesn't do anything for me.

If De Gea is between the sticks on the 12th, then all is good. :D

I thought he meant that he is a true'r' fan than you, because you didnt get beaten at Kop
Then you'll end up having a problem with a lot of things. United are a football but they're also business. Not to the fans but that's the reality. They have to take decisions like a cold hard business entity would, because their rivals will.

As for the last sentence, well done you brave man. We all aspire for your braveness and modesty in braveness.

Are you taking the piss?

It was a bad move.

And as far as business. Lol.

There is no chance of this happening. And I can give you a couple of reasons for that. The first being, in all of this saga, his conduct has been professional. He hasn't come out and said a word despite all the speculation. Secondly, with the Euro 2016 coming up, he has to fight for his spot in the Spanish side and Del Bosque has been quoted as saying that it will be difficult to pick De Gea if he doesn't play regularly for us.

So its mutually beneficial for both parties (i.e. Us as well as Dave) to get along with the job.

That's what I am praying for. Hopefully, Van Gaal will see the light too and won't try to escalate the situation anymore.

If De Gea returns to his previous form, then it has all worked out for us.

Surely he plays now. We can't have Romero playing when we have DDG and Valdes still at the club
After our statement ("happy to still have him here") and DDG's general behavior through this saga, there's absolutely no way DDG doesn't end up playing for us.

I frankly don't see LvG escalating the issue. While he is always capable of the unpredictable, I remember earlier in the window when he was asked about De Gea he mentioned that he would re-assess the situation after Sep 1st. He also acknowledged that he didn't want to lose a double player of the year. So I am fairly relaxed about the situation.

True. I'm also sure that Romero was brought in to be a #2.

Surprised some continuing to spin this as anything but an unmitigated disaster

A bright start to the transfer window ended in repeated embarrassments. Management are no doubt culpable between the pursuit of unrealistic targets to poor negotiations and ultimately failing to resolve the De Gea debacle

Has to be disheartening to see City & Chelsea far more effective in the transfer market. Serious questions have to be asked & addressed from Woodward et al

U WOT M8?

As for the rest of the post, no there was no "repeated embarrassments" or "poor negotiations" at all. There are differences between what the club management wants, what the fans want and what the press report.

Maybe we should adopt your model and take the illegal route.

Don't see it happening so soon. Think it will be around a month before we see him in action.

EMBARASSING  been reading too many tabloids it seems.

Yes chelsea's business this summer is something im so envious of. Pedro and some second rate backs one of whom has gone back on loan is the summer I wished for.

I'm telling the truth. I'm from Billinge.

Oh the drama...

Seriously, the caf is in some state these last few days. Can't wait till the football's back.

I'll be watching games with my fingers crossed then. Romero doesn't fill me with any confidence. This is exactly what I feared and why I think this should have been resolved earlier.

Hopefully, we won't lose too many points. The expectation have been lowered so far that a 4th place will look like a win come end of the season.

Sad times for a glory hunter. ;)

Interesting that we were willing to go to FIFA to try and get the deal done but Real weren't. This should be drummed into De Gea until he signs a new contract.

Sure. They bought a defender who apparently Mourinho had never heard of and was turned down by West Brom amongst other mid-table clubs.

Chelsea do need to take care of the defense as Terry is enjoying his suspension trying to scout the hot looking doc from Moscow.

How have chelsea been efficient when they couldn't solve what seems to be a gaping hole in their defense?

After Mourinho's last presser, i think its safe to assume their management is not happy with the way the window panned out.

Lmao. What's wrong with this post?

4th place won't look like a win. That was last year's target, not this year. Re Romero, ofcourse he isn't as good, let's just hope de gea comes in asap. An odd mistake here and there won't change much, every keeper makes them.

Rosell & Bartomeu's way

No one gives a shit who the person was, it's the mes que en club that people know.

Possibly. Will be a complete shitstorm on here till then.

It'll be a shitstorm regardless as even when de gea is back, he will make errors and we'll have the same brigade up in arms about how his head isn't here and should have been sold. Moaners gonna moan.

Here's hoping he gets some playing time for the national team to get his fitness up

Though, wasn't it in our benefit to resolve the situation earlier, Sultan? Does this help us in anyway?

PS: Hey! Tagline, and a good one too. Finally, made it on Redcafe, it only took me more than a year and 2000+ posts. Thanks, to whoever it was. :D
United's stance was no deal unless on clubs terms. Madrid had to chase the deal.

What did he say?

He said that he was no longer talking about transfers, because he already gave the club his report back in April, and that he had done his job. Meaning of course "i asked for certain players in certain positions and the club did not do their part". They had just lost to palace and he looked pretty pissed off.

And to think that this thread will just keep on going until at least 2/1/2016... Could this become the ultimate thread in RedCafe history?

At least we were allowed to take part in the transfer window. Your club got itself banned because of its cheating.

Hehe.

Is Man Utd Cafe & Bar still functioning? In Mumbai its changed to United Cafe & Bar.

Ah yeah. Looks like it changed in Pune too. When did this happen? It has been some time since I visited that place so didn't know about this change. So, it is not Man United themed anymore? general sports bar?

Yes, it should be a general sports bar now and not a Man United themed bar. The change must have happened over a year ago.

I know it because of other reasons, which I'd rather not get into.
