Been class so far. The long ball for rooney was mint and has a decent bit of pace too.

Playing really well.

makes a huge difference having such a skillful player on both flanks.

Wasnt he a winger or attacking mdifielder a few years ago? What happened and why did he move back?

Loving his enthusiam to go forward and showing some skill/pace.

Sadly the last time I said that about a youth LB was about Reece James I think and he barely played again. Actually left the club soon after lol.

Riley left. Demi just came back from injury this year at sometime and the winger spaces were taken I am guessing. There was a vacancy at left back so I am guessing they just wanted to try him out there.

Leaves big questions for Shaw aswell.
I know Shaw can attack better than he has. When he does, it is clear as day he overthinks everything and is too worried about losing the ball and so doesn't try anything adventurous. He needs to play more consistently to get out of this rut of his. His confidence must be really low right now, and Demi is attacking really well right now because he's so inexperienced he doesn't overthink about anything and he's not too worried and his confidence is high.

Playing really well, it's great to see a left back actually attack.

And people think Darmian couldn't attack more because of the "instruction". Really glad for Mitchell after the horrible injury he suffered 2 years ago. Good prospect.

A bit harsh. He's attacking really well because he's generally a great attacker and used to play on the wing. He's got great awareness and vision as well as being able to dribble, cross and shoot. If he can tie this together with the defensive side of the role which is a big IF, then we have a player on our hands.

He's lost a bit of the stardust that was on him at 15/16 thanks to the injuries, but its great that he's forging a way forward and seems mentally strong.

Agreed. That's exactly what Danny Rose at Spurs did, and he's one of the top left backs in the league.

You could tell he used to play as a winger. He's got forward very well and has looked pretty decisive in the final third. Good half.

What I am saying is that he can use these qualities of his right now because him playing on his debut means that he can play without worry or expectations on him. He's playing with freedom and his confidence is probably really high.

Basically I am saying that Shaw, like Mitchell is right now, needs to be mentally fit as well as physically. Mitchell is playing really well right now.

Such has been the state of our left backs this season, that a young winger who just converted to fullback this season has just put in one of the best left back performances this season and that too when he was against Zaha.

TBF this boy seems to be the real deal

Yeah I wasn't really undermining him, just saying that Zaha vs anyother of our left backs wouldn't have been into such a contest.

Spot on. That control and turn in the top left hand of the pitch midway through the second half too

He had 19/19 acceleration and pace on my fm save a couple of years ago and turned into one of the best wingers.

I agree

Shaw, Mitchell, Sessegnon for next season?

Was good today. Not tested that much but was very good in the first half when we were attacking more.

was better than I expected, he played his age today, composed performance and did not look out of place at all.

Man of the match contender today for me. Looked very composed, quick and good getting forward.

To be fair this was a dead-rubber game where I imagine Mourinho told the kids to go out and enjoy it. There's definitely times where our fullbacks are instructed not to press up the pitch.

Great energy about him. Skillful going forward as well. This is exactly the type of FB I like to see at United. This game was very encouraging and I hope we'll see more of him next season.

Best youngster out there (Tuanzebe doesn't count, he's a veteran).
