Disappointment On The Horizon . . .

There are some here who would rather wish for no buys this summer just so that their romantic notions of the club of playing some youngsters in 20-30 games are fulfilled.

The success of the club does not matter to these dopeys, only that local youngsters are played as often as possible. Player ability takes a backseat as long as said youngsters "bleed red".
Whereas you would prefer to get rid of every player who plays for the shirt, and replace them all with mercenaries.

Lest we have a local or even British core.

If no major signings are made this summer it's a broken promise from the club to the fans. There were indeed made several promises. Not saying it's the end of the world, but it sure isn't what we were being told.

and what do you think thats going to add up to. You are right no denying that but what you think Glazer or his spawn are going to lie awake worrying that they didnt fullfill a promise?

If in fact we do have the money to buy (which I think we do), why the feck are players all of a sudden so reluctant to come to United. FFS, not everyone is going to Chelsea. When did United become such an undesirable place to play??

Cant wait for the start of the season irrespective for what we do in the transfer market. But ofcourse i want us to sign players, i want the team to do well next season and signing players is necessary fot that.

Uncertain future, unhappy players, volatile manager maybe?

all factors

Utter lies.

show me a quote then.

True, but Jesus, it's not like we're in shambles. All it would take is a few quality players and we're in the hunt for everything. And as far as manager, once Fergie leaves there will certainly be a top class replacement.

It's good for an english club to have a british core - however, anyone with some sense would know that this should not come at the expense of player ability.

Bleeding red players don't mean a damn thing if they are outclassed on the pitch.

Which the dopeys in this forum don't even realize that or perhaps they prefer to be wrapped up in their fantasies of having 11 players on the pitch all born within 10 miles of Salford.

Hope the dopeys and xenophobes get what they wish for this summer - zero buys and the sale of all those undesirable pesky foreign players from the club.

Fletcher, O'Shea and Richardson in every first team game. ;)

We already have sold 12.5 million worth of players and freed up some decent wages. You're all either insane or impatient. WAIT for a few more weeks, please.

What does that mean? Of course we have to.. If we want to win things, which is a given, then we need to compete with chelsea in every department we can.

We don't HAVE to win things

True.

Why should I?

It's their wish - I hope it's fulfilled for them.

You are repeating it in every two posts of yours. Very tedious, Devilish-like obsession.

Do you HAVE any grasp on reality.

The basis of sport is winning, im sorry if youve not reached this very basic conclusion but its fact. Everything in sport comes from a desire to win. Practise comes from a desire to get better which will inturn make one likely to win. Its the whole point of sport. Anyone who says they play solely for fun, does not really love what they are involved in or are just shite at it.....

The main reason this site exists is because of sporting success and im sure you understand that and are just being a cnut.. If you dont you really need to review the functionality of large portions of your brain.....

Wasn't it Lambardian who said, " winning isn't the most important thing it is the only thing"

You have a lot to learn, I would sooner have 11 players sweating blood for the club rather than 11 players who are just in it for the money.

Do tell me, your foretelling of the future, do you sacrifice a lamb and examine the entrails, or take auspices?

There surely can't be too many Augures on the Caf. ;)

Only a true Glory Hunter would be disappointed with United's inactivity in the transfer market. Fergie knows what he's doing, go back to FM, you muppet. Go support chelsea if you want signings. Scholes and Giggs will be back to their old selves this year, you'll see. And Ruud will have another great season, scoring 20 goals and proving all the doubters wrong. feck off cnut!!

I mean SAF had never quitted in all his life even when he had the chairman (Edwards) or 2 of the main shareholders (Magnier and his lover boy) against him

he 'quitted' East Sterlingshire in 1974 ;)

don't think we are going to get any of them.

it is quite simple
i understand that we may not be able to sign them but we still need/want to wait for it
because once those teams relegated, there will be more players available
as a result, big teams may be attracted by those who we cannot sign
then we may have bigger chance to sign players we want and the competition will be smaller

I would have to say that if the team remains status quo next season, United will have a tough time catching Chelski but they will still be atop 3 team (not that that's good enough).

But I think that all it will take to put United in contention is 1 or 2 quality midfielders. That will strengthen the starting squad and go a long way to improving the over all depth at that position. With a healthy Scholes, Giggs, Park, Smith, Fletcher, and O'Shea (and Ronaldo depending on what happens with him) + a quality DM & CM, I would like United's chances in the PL.

Did we actually want Zokora or did you just get this information from our totally honest and believable media?

Hmmm .... good point! Never can tell nowadays really.

Honestly I think he was on the list somewhere, probably not as high up as say, Carrick and Diarra. Unfortunately, whether Zokora was badly wanted or not is now moot. The end result is that Tottenham starts off next season with Carrick and Zokora in central midfield. I'd like to think we can at least match that level when we kick off our season.

Christ, are we at such a bad point that we are HOPING we can start the season with a central midfield that can "match" Totenham's?

A lot of that hope rests on Scholes picking up where he left off from couple of seasons ago (despite his recent vision problem), and Ryan Giggs continuing his remarkable form in an unfamiliar attacking midfielder position he played in late last season. We also hope that Smudger comes back to us 100%, AND further improves in that holding position. And that O'Shea and Fletcher will suddenly take it to the next level after plateauing over the past couple of seasons. Finally, that the kids like David and Ritchie Jones step up into premiership action seamlessly.

Yes, there is a lot of hope involved here.

Rubbish.

The wish and desire to win is one thing. HAVING to win is completely different. We WANT to win, naturally, but we don't HAVE to win.

All you wait and see glazer cocksuckers must be feeling a bit silly now then eh!

No cash, no players, a manager well past his sell by date and no fecking future!

Get used to it lads, this is how its gonna be for a long time.

Our great club is a fecking shambles!
