Playing with only 2 strikers for several games will damage us, as we can't count on Saha at all anymore.

I've learned over the years that no away game in the champions league is easy.
Yep - quite possibly got the team right there, but most definitely the formation ! Not sure he'll start Anderson though (even though he's been doing well, this is a game for a bit of experience in the middle). I fancy Fletcher or O'Shea will start ahead of him...
----------------------- Van Der Sar --------------------
Brown ---- Ferdinand ---------------- Vidic ------- Evra
Ronaldo ---- Scholes ---------------- Fletcher ---- Giggs
------------ Rooney ----------------- Tevez -----------
Subs: Kuszczak, Simpson, Pique, O`Shea, Eagles, Nani, Anderson
Out: Foster, Neville, Silvestre, Evans, Hargreaves, Carrick, Park, Saha
Anderson will start, If Fergie put him against villa there is no question the lad will play on kiev
Sir Alex's tactical dilemma
Sir Alex Ferguson is pondering whether to stick with the burgeoning strike partnership of Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez or go with a three-man central midfield in Kyiv on Tuesday night.
In plummeting temperatures in the Ukrainian capital, the United boss oversaw training at the Olympic Stadium, in which he was buoyed by the sight of a fit Nemanja Vidic taking part in the full training session.
But he has a selection dilemma further up the field. Rooney, who scored twice against Aston Villa at the weekend, proved his partnership with Tevez is starting to click.
Sir Alex has already stated that he believes Dynamo Kyiv – yet to pick up any points in Group F so far – have no option but to attack the Reds. The decision now is how best to counter Dynamo's approach; whether to meet the Ukrainians with the Tevez-Rooney axis that is performing so well domestically, or revert to the lone striker with three central midfielders used against Sporting Lisbon.
“In Tevez and Rooney we have too exceptionally good footballers,” the manager said at his pre-match press conference in Kyiv. “They are both such strong players and a real threat to defenders.
“It makes them a real consideration for tomorrow, their form is good enough,” he added. “There is the tactical part to consider.
“I would have liked to have had Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves here. They are ideal European players. We don’t have either of them, but we have good options. There’s Paul Scholes, Anderson, Darren Fletcher and John O’Shea.
“We may go with three players in the middle, as we did in Lisbon. That is certainly a possibility. Whatever we do, the ntention will be to try and win the match because the rewards are great for us.
“It’s an important game for Kyiv. They will be wanting to win the match and I expect them to have a go. We see it as an opportunity for us because Roma and Sporting Lisbon have a double header against each other.
"From our point of view you would hope they take points off each other. If we can win our games against Dynamo Kyiv then it puts us in a strong position [to win the group].
“The best thing to do is to try and approach the game trying to win it. And that is exactly what we will be doing.”
Fletcher, Anderson and Scholesy in the middle.
Fletcher for his harrying, energy and ball-winning ability as well as better technique should get the nod ahead of O'Shea, whom i absolutely dread seeing in central midfield.
Its fecking Dynamo so Anderson and Scholes to handle the middle
Its gonna be an easy game for us
They would want to attack us as they have no points and they are home
Our counter attack is deadly
I follow the Ukrainian league all the time, and Dynamo is not strong at all this season. The only way I can see us not winning this fixture is if they put in a superhuman effort, kind of like Reading did in the opening fixture.Contrary to what was said about keeping the ball - they can't keep the ball at all. I say we should win this comfortably.
Beware of game raising cnuts...![]()
The thing i'm most worried about this game is either Rooney or Tevez sustaining an injury. They've been playing without a break for ages now and are the only strikers we have. Therefore, much as I hate to suggest it, we should probably leave one of them on the bench.
I think it would be silly if we field a lone striker. Particularly with Tevez in good form and the partnership between Rooney and Tevez starting to click. Rooney is no lone striker, he may have played well there a few times (Milan last season) but more often than not, he gets isolated up there when on his own.
Yes we can... we've done it before. Just play the dreaded 4-3-3. One of Rooney or Tevez with Ronaldo and Giggs in support. We cant, we have no more choices at the moment...
Saha isnt fit and we have no more strikers, thats a good reason to get someone on january or put Dong to see if he makes a miracle turn around to his game
Ol Rooney travelling to Russia twice in a week. Its a mad ol world being a footballer. I know... I'll be travelling from Woolston to Birchwood in a single night to play twice later
I predict a 1-1 tonight (in Russia, not Birchwood - ours will be 9-8 with me bagging 4 in a fine box-to-same-box performance)
Playing with only 2 strikers for several games will damage us, as we can't count on Saha at all anymore.
