Ed Woodward | Groundhog Day Edition

What a colossal failure Ed Woodward is. The way this club is run is farcical.

How does woody think this plays out for him? He has unified the entire fan base to be despise him. I can’t see how this ends well for him.

Tbh I'm quite pleased with today

Expected one player, maybe two. To get 4 in is pleasantly surprising.

Failing Sancho the alternative was to get in some depth, so it was good getting the wingers, as well as Telles. The CB situation I don't see getting fixed via new players there, and I think Garner will be ready for DM come next summer.

Pleased?
Garner ready for DM?
You have to be a WUM

Even putting my love for United aside, it's actually infuriating me how someone can be so incompetent yet have their job be so safe.

I say incompetent, he's actually doing a brilliant job saving money for the Glazers. They don't give a feck how the club is ran just as long as they get their tasty dividends.
And he is the one who sacks people

Same old same old. We get into the UCL only for the club not to back the manager. We’ll sack Ole next year for not getting into the UCL and give a new manager with a different philosophy money to get us back into the UCL. Rinse and repeat.

Hey Ed, Ever think about backing one manager with multiple transfer windows? Might do wonders

Don't forget the contract to Jones last year. It is like he is too thick to even realise his mistakes.
I left Jones out because he at least at one time contributed something positive to United despite how it has ended, but the principle is certainly the same.

At this pt Ed leaving may be seen as a better thing than any transfer we could make at the moment. Its primarily the toxicity of the club's dealings thats concerning. And that may/probably isnt just him.

As mentioned before - maybe LvG in particular was def onto something with his comments - especially when you see what Evra is saying as well - whom I trust much more to have some insight into everything. At the very least he probably understands how things *should* be.

I just wish someone... Jose, LVG, Smallings agent, any agent, or Dortmund or anyone would come out and just outline how incompetent he is.

It often gets alluded to, and pundits and journalists will talk about how he has a really poor reputation... But a in depth opinion of just how would be fascinating

Oh man I just had a great idea.

Get that Woodward guy who taped and interviewed Trump and wrote the book on him to... Write a book about Woodward.

We can call it "Woodward Square"

Woodward seems to be perhaps the only person in this league who actually laughed all the way to the bank.

Yeah I won't be able to get over this.

Manager does not get backed in a crucial window for the rebuild and insteads awards him a massively injury prone has-been forward.

I'm hoping the press rinse him to pieces tomorrow. We should all beg journalists on Twitter for articles about his incompetence.

As I've said, I expected 1 or maybe 2,and we got 4. The wingers could go either way, if even one of them hits it off then hindsight it could prove to be a very good window. But a bit of extra depth and better competition at left back still patches up a couple of holes. Garner was on the verge of the first team before he even went to Watford, he could well be ready after a season in the Champo.

An I happy with the window as a whole? No, I think the Sancho saga should have been binned off as soon as the Dortmund deadline passed. But today was more of a slight redemption, I'm not sure how you can sign 4 players in a day and not be happy about it.

Seemingly has the most secure job in all of world football. What would he have to do in order to be replaced? Piss of a sponsor? Has he had any history of painting his face black? Attending dodgy frat parties? Shady dealings with the Ukraine?

I don't think I could hate someone I personally don't know this much but my god I couldn't say what I really wanted to say in this thread about him because I'd get banned.

He's an absolute disgrace and he should have nothing to do with this football club anymore

Question to the floor... When Eds wife asks him to go to Lidl for milk and bread, what do you think he comes home with?

He’s going to get attacked by some nutter. I’ve seen him twice in the Cafe Nero near Green Park in Mayfair if anyone fancies quoting me a bounty.

Klopp kind of did so with the revelation about the "Disneyland" proposal. Evra also had that anecdote about how other clubs view us.

Well played, subdue the fans by pretending we actually know what we are doing with Sancho all summer, then pull a cheap washed up 'star name' to appease the masses at the last minute, bonus time Mr Woodward, your masters will be impressed.

That's it though, they kind of say it /allude to it... Even Smalling's agent now has said about being frustrated by the process....but we need details!

We we don't need them, but I would like them.
