I don't think Fergie would fly to France just to see a RB. If however he was planning a massive investment in a player like Hazard, I wouldn't put it past him to watch him in action before greenlighting a big transfer fee.

I can't wait to order my tablecloth shirt for next season;

Debuchy

Ofcourse he would. He watches pretty much every signing even going and watching reserve games abroad. Fergie is famously extremely thorough with his scouting. Be it a 17 year old player for the youth team or a 30 million world class player. If its a young player he'll even make it a point to meet his parents to see what kind of background the boy comes from etc. and what sort of man he'll become.

Except for the time he signed Bebe ofcourse.

Not in every instance. Our more recent signings have been completely under the radar, so there's nothing to suggest we would change that sort of discretion unless a large of sum of money was involved.

The Bebe signing is a story that's crying out to be told.

In case you never knew, I would love that we sign him.

I warn you all already, I will be a transfer muppet this summer and be advocating his transfer every moment I can!

He flew to Moscow just to watch Vidic, can't see any reason why he wouldn't do the same here.

I reckon the basis is us being in Jorge Mendes' pocket and buying Bebe being a way to cement a relationship. There are other blanks to be filled in but our relationship with Mendes really worries me.

I reckon it was down as some sort of down payment to gain some advantage over young talents which are Mendes' clients like Iturbe and also possibly to ensure that Mourinho becomes our next manager.

I don't like criticising Fergie but think it's hypocritical to say that agents are ruining the game and then get into a agreement like this.

Only 6 players in history to have fetched 40 mill or more

That's where football is heading though. Modric, Ander, Martinez etc are all around the 30-40m mark. However I believe that we need 2 CM rather then one. Hence why I think we'll need 40m to sort CM out.

We certainly don't need a right back!!!

As has been said above, Rafael is being groomed to own that position for the next decade and shows no signs that he is not capable of that responsibility, Fabio, Smalling, Jones & Valencia can all also do a very good job there too.

And I agree about the point about sadly letting JOS leave .... SAF did that to make it easier for Rafael to own the position. Injuries have messed up that plan this season, but the flexibility of so many of our players has meant we have not felt the effect too badly. Fitness permitting, I see no reason why RB cannot be owned by Rafael next year, with Fabio covering for him and Evra.

No, SAF was defo in France to make it clear to Hazard that we are very interested in him joining us. Hazard is a smart lad. Im sure his summer transfer will be based primarily on footballing reasons and in that instance, its either Arsenal or ourselves that can provide him the best platform for his next stage of development.

And if you are a player who wants to win medals, would you join a club who has won nothing for 6 years (albeit under a brilliant manager and a classy history) or would you like to work with the best manager that ever lived, who public stated policy is build teams around young players and who have to regularly play a 37 year old and a 38 year old in their midfield (and Carrick who is 31!).

There is plenty of opportunity in our central midfield for the right young player.

The twins are made of glass and Valencia is a winger.

I reckon that's the most worrisome interpretation. Fergie having a moment of senile dementia is the optimistic scenario.

Mendes an Kenyon are in cahoots and are trying to become the largest agents business in the football world, including third party ownrship ala Jorabochim or whatever he is called.

If City are interested then basically its going to be hard to get Hazard if indeed Fergie was even watching him. Debuchy does sound more like a realistic target for us but I suppose he could have been there to watch both players.

Not necessarily, i have a feeling that we already have a deal in place for Gaitan, so unless we go for both I can't see us getting Hazard.

We'll sign gaitan not hazard. Looks like safs little trip has drawn Mancini out though. City make an early move for hazard then it makes it easier for us to move for other targets, there will be plenty around this summer and city can't sign them all, there'll be plenty of value in the market and I'd expect 3 top signings (if not 4).

The Gaitan transfer is also much more likely to happen because our relationship with his agent Mendez. Muppets often ignore the importance of agents nowadays

Disclaimer: I m not alleging in any way that friendlytramp is a transfer muppet

Just been told this by a blue

So he knew before the game Mancini was there, and went out with an inspired performance. Nice.

If he does sign for City it'll be contrary to everything we've heard about his sensible management of his own career. City is not the place to go for a young player to develop.

Hmmm interesting.

Would be great to beat City to a player, especially one like him. I'm watching a re-run of the game v VAFC. He does looks good
