They could've at least used a white body, and one whose arms weren't T-Rex sized in comparison to his head.

Eden Hazard open to Manchester United or Chelsea move | Mail Online

Chelsea and Manchester United have been given a major boost in their pursuit of Eden Hazard after he let it be known he would be interested in a move to the Barclays Premier League.

Lille's attacking midfielder, 21 last week, was refusing to look beyond Real Madrid for a summer move away from the French champions, according to recent reports.

But not only would he be receptive to an offer from Chelsea or United, he could even be prised away during the current transfer window, despite his club insisting he will not be allowed to leave until the end of the season.

Hazard's agent John Bico, who confirmed Chelsea were considering a £25million bid for a player with a £33million release clause, told Sportsmail: 'Eden's career has been built on a patient philosophy of developing, year by year, and his ambition today is to try and make Lille champions for a second successive season.

'But he is a professional, and the club is a company. Sometimes clubs have to deal with the reality of the market, and Eden will go along with whatever Lille decide.'

Sportsmail understands Barcelona are ready to go head-to-head with fierce rivals Real for Hazard after registering an interest in one of Europe's hottest prospects.

But a source close to the player claimed it was by no means a straight fight between La Liga's big two for his signature.

'England isn't exactly a million miles away, so it wouldn't be any great upheaval,' he said.

'It all depends on the project put to Eden and the ambition he senses from whoever he is talking to. Real like him, and he likes them but, as with any player, he would view Manchester United as an great opportunity.

'If Roman Abramovich really is providing funds to take Chelsea back to the top again, then they would be interesting, as well. He would consider that, for sure.'

IMO only player who adds a little stardust to our current side is Nani, so adding the likes of Hazard, Eriksen or Gomez would give our team a much needed shot in the arm. Adding 2 of these players plus a half decent DM would complete our squad......come on mr glazer get your checkbook out :wenger:

Many posters noticed the error in above Gotze

What about Rooney?

What about Rooney?

I think Rooney is a fantastic player who would always be in my 1st XI, though for me he is more Muller than Best, functional rather than dazzling. You won't see Rooney go on a mazy run past 3, or 4 players.....though you will see him spray passes of imagination all over the pitch and display excellent technique.
In current main squad i think it is only Nani who'll tease a defender with a step-over, before execute a trick to beat player. I'd just like to see another such player in our ranks.

He's an immense player... Slightly less impressive this season but the quality is there ranking him among the top prospects worldwide

Gomez?

Mainoldo did you see Tony V today? That's what i'm talking about!!

Beating up on a shite side like Bolton at OT is one thing but Hazard has so much more variety and creativity than Valencia has with his direct old fashioned wing-play. Truth is though it shouldn't be an either/or situation in the squad era.

Yep so has Joe Cole but give me Valencia any day of the week. Tony V is so consistant and his work rate is superb. Seen some games of Hazard and he has loads of potenial and I agree I would not swap him for Tony V and that was my first point in the first post. Ps Half the teams in our league are like Bolton so the point doesn't really hold up.

Hazard is more gifted than Cole has ever been, and you need special players in tight games to unlock defenses against the other half of the teams in the league so my point does hold up, hence the worth of Silva, and I'd exchange a hard working basic winger for that any day of the week. However as I said there is no rule to say you can't have both in the squad.

There's a lot of noise concerning possible Hazard to CFC transfer.

According to Ian McGarry "Eden Hazard expects an agreement to be reached with #CFC for his transfer this week. Personal terms are close to completion. Fee approx 28m€".

Still don't think it's true.

Same fella who said Neymar would join us last summer. Relax muppets.

Nuff said

The transfer fee is suspiciously low. Lille don't have to sell at that price, they can comfortably get more than that in the summer.

Well, L'Equipe were reporting on Hazard to CFC earlier, too and they were just quoting different number.

Ian McGarry off Twitter reckons it will be €28m and personal terms close to agreement.

Surprised, thought Real Madrid would've got him.

I will be mega pissed if Hazard joins the list of similar talents we've already lost to our competitors lately, namely Silva, Aguero & Mata.

Don't worry, his transfer is just paving the way for Rodwell to sign for us.

I would love him at United, but what kind of message would that send to Young? Or even Park, who'll might fall even further down the pecking order? How would we do with both Hazard and Nani on each wing? To be honest, I havent seen much of him, but I've gotten the impression that he's a tricky winger like Nani and is able to beat his man easily. How is he when defending?

Before all the no value brigade come out - lets just wait and see if he does go for the rumoured £25m.

You dont buy players in the hope they wont offend current players you buy them to improve the squad.
