hmm... if Shitty just try to trump all our intended signings, can we not throw them a curve ball and pretend to be interested in say, Andy Carroll?

I see. dont think its true personally.

Can't find the source right now but I seem to remember our wage bill was at 130-3mil last season and it has increased to 150+ mil this season. Even though we offloaded O'Shea and Brown, plus VDS and Scholes (for a while) retired, there's a significant bump.
Assuming De Gea and Jones are on similar to Brown and O'Sheas' deals, I'd say Young has a very good chance of having negotiated a 100k+ deal for himself.

If he is getting that amount, then Young must have a very good agent.Utd are paying that much for that shit is beyond laughable.

It was widely reported several months ago that Young earns over 100k/week at United, more than the likes of Valencia and Nani and even Giggs

It'd be incredible if true specially considering we paid a lot even though he was in the last year of his contract.

Shit you say? He's far from it.

Some tabloid ran with that 120k figure last summer and after that it became 'fact', between newspapers and supporters.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it was actually around 70-90k. Around what our higher earners earn, but not as much as Rooney, Vidic and Rio.

And what, bid something insane like £35m? Nobody would believe that much for someone like Andy Carroll :wenger:

I think part of the explanation was that the wage level had been heavily impacted by the increase in the commercial staff. The total wage level is for all the club's staff, not just players - in which case we could sell a high earner and appoint a few dozen people in the commercial sector resulting in a higher wage bill but the squad being weaker due to missing that player.

There is simply not even a sniff of a chance of Hazard ever coming here. Its already signed and sealed at City. Nasri must be delighted. He can pick up 150 grand a week for sitting on a bench each week which is what he basically said he wanted some weeks ago when he said that Arsenal played him too much.

I'm getting a bad feeling over him now. He's been talking some worrying stuff in recent weeks. I will die a little inside if Man City are his final destination.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't end-up at City - there isn't much to give us hope otherwise from what I can see.

if he comes to England its to man city for 2 reasons

The money and the chance of winning trophies, because lets face it city will be right there for years to come now as long as they can buy whomever the hell they want.

Young is apparently on high wages here because City, once again, attempted to get one over us in the 11th hour. His inflated wages are because of that.

maybe i just havent read it as i havent read all the pages but has anyone mentioned that city dont need him and as it stands there is no place for him? ridiculous club

Rrichio whats the latest from your insider? I demand to know whats happening.

Mancini already said the club needs to improve his squad depth and I have a good feeling that's just what they are doing.

I think they do in defence and midfield but I reckon if they were to get Hazard then it might be overkill. If we assume Dzeko leaves then that leaves, Aguero, Silva, Nasri as definite to be there. It looks like Tevez and even Baloteli might stay. With those 5 players I think it's going to be tough to keep everyone happy. They've been helped this season with Tevez loosing the plot. But with all of those guys available over a season someone is gonna have to take a back seat and it'll be interesting to see how happy they will be. Add another top young player looking to step up in Hazard and then I think I think that'll make it a lot harder.

Plus although these guys are already squad players, tevez returning and any additions like Hazard will likely further reduce the game time for people like Johnson and Milner.

Seems like he's off to City.

How some people think most players would pick us over City is hilarious. Money is almost everything and City also look like they have a real chance in the CL next year, as well as the league. All that money has finally brought them a classy bunch of players who will only get better.

Some people as you describe are in the minority, the majority of us have the full understanding that players seem to pick any team but us.

You lot are fecking baffling. A grand total of nothing has happened and yet you seem to be quite able to keep up a 24hr running commentary about it. What's wrong with you?! You're all fecking idiots!

Thanks for post Cider, all contributants to the thread are welcome:D

Don't you see it though? What's going on here is insane and retarded. It's fecking ridiculous; if you imagine how ridiculous it'd be if the matchday thread continuing to commentate on a match as if it was still going on long after the final whistle had blown, all "Ooh good shot!", "What's Carrick doing?!", "Rafael should have had that!", "City are gonna score soon if we don't close Silva down!" despite the pitch and stadium being stood completely empty with nothing happening there at all; imagine how ridiculous that'd be, and now you're imagining a similar level of ridiculousness as to what's going on right here in this thread. You're all absolutely fecking insane and it's worrying to say the least; you don't seem to be at all aware of how mind-bogglingly retarded you all are!

So says the guy who once wanted player specific threads populated with the latest transfer news for each player. ;)

That has to be the worst analogy of all time
