We certainly didn't need Phil Jones last summer, then went on to spunk 20m on him. Fergie will try and bid/buy a player if he feels he's too good to miss out regardless of which position

Maybe he'll announce on Twitter that he's agreed to play for both Chelsea and City in the upcoming season. Up to the Jan transfer window at Chelsea, then to City with both clubs paying him a wage all season.

Honestly theres no point worrying about it. He's always been incredibly unlikely to sign for us

Never understood this 'we don't need him' attitude towards good players who pay in positions where we have good players,


We are miles off Barca, Real and IMO City. We need top players like Hazard.

Very unlikely. No manager in place and Roman will just go and offer twice as much as City based on what exactly? Yes it's a plaything but you are talking 250K-400K which would be insane, he is not Ronaldo or Messi.

Nah, 200k. City wouldn't go above 110k.

It's Chelsea, Abramovich has never given a feck what wages he pays his players, and without a manager there he probably gives even less of a feck.

He didn't exactly specify that position to be fair. In certain areas we are in others we are not. He's right though in that you should never bemoan trying to add quality in depth.

Not sure if Hazard is a top player, not yet anyway. Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Rooney are top players

Well, Welbeck and Hernandez scored a total of 19 league goals this season (57 games). Berba scored 7 in 12 games.
Berbs scored a total of 27 goals in 44 apps in the past two seasons (league). Welbeck and Hernandez combined scored 38 goals in 110 apps.

Perhaps we'd actually have won the league on GD if we'd played our top scorer.
