No, but this seems like the best place to enforce it, especially with the views it's getting. If posters know what isn't allowed in this thread, they'll certainly know not to apply it to the more serious ones.
 
As the announcements states, some pictures and gifs are naturally still allowed, as long as they add to the discussion and are original and relevant. Posting gifs of random people laughing, eating popcorn etc. is a pain to scroll through. As are big pictures of "Hazard!" signs.

So if there's a picture floating about of Hazard walking into OT, then by all means post it, but if you have a picture of an owl saying something stupid, then please don't post it.
 
If a picture is worth a thousand words, just think how many a gif is worth.

Thankfully, it doesn't take past form into account. There was a tense moment in the admin forum when I thought it might be an elaborate ploy to get me perm banned.

The news about Hazard's twitter announcement was just on the Belgian news with images of him on the training ground this afternoon with the national team. The journalists tried to get him to say 'a few words for the fans of his new club' to try and make him say it, but he just ignored it. Moussa Dembele was then interviewed about it, but he said Eden hasn't said anything to his teammates about who he'll join, so they don't know either.

I can't agree. Marin isn't that good, certainly not at the level of Nani, Valencia, Podolski, Ashley Young, Bale etc. They had a perfectly good striker in Drogba, Sturridge scoring for fun and Torres, yet they still couldn't put anything together. Their midfield is fast on the wane and needs reinforcing sooner rather than later.

There's problems throughout that team if you ask me and they're not going to improve without serious investment. Hazard is far from the finished article, as I've been saying all along. They need 3 or 4 very good players, maybe more, to catch up.

You know when you are desperately trying to remember something, and apparently the best thing to do is try to forget it completely, and within no time it will come back to you. Maybe we should apply this to Eden Hazard. If everyone ignored him and pretended he didn't exist, he'd be forced into breaking the news earlier. You know it makes sense. Hazard-Gate.
