Real Madrid to Sign Eden Hazard In January: Arsenal and Manchester United Miss Out On Starlet | CaughtOffside
Eden Hazard’s agent ‘snubs Arsenal and Manchester United advances’
Arsenal and Manchester United are about to be pipped by Real Madrid in the chase for talented Lille midfielder Eden Hazard after the player’s agent refused to discuss terms with both English clubs.

Hazard has been linked with a move to England for several months, having impressed in the French league.
His talents are believed to have alerted both the Gunners and United during the summer, but approaches for the player were dismissed out of hand.
Nevertheless, he has now been made available for transfer – but his representatives have snubbed both Premier League outfits because a deal is believed to have been agreed with Madrid already.
Jose Mourinho has had scouts watch the Belgian 19-year-old, who is considered one of the continent’s rising stars with 17 international caps already.
And it is now believed Los Merengues are in advanced talks over the finer points of a contract, ahead of completing the move when the transfer window re-opens on January 1st. (The Metro)

Jose Mourinho will have been in a deep depression last night following his side’s appalling performance against rampant Barcelona in the El Clasico but this source believes that the Real Madrid boss is set to seal the deal to bring in one of the hottest prospects in European football.

Arsenal have been chasing Eden Hazard for the best part of 18 months and Sir Alex Ferguson has also been looking to sign the young Belgian playmaker but both will seemingly miss out on the teenager as the Bernabeu side look set to sign the Lille man in January.

:(

Another great match from him apparently (I didn't watch it). He's on great form.By far the most technical and brightest talent in the french ligue 1

From a financial point of view Sanchez would be a better candidate as Lille are also notorious to sell their with an exaggerated price (they generally feed Lyon) but from the football itself I'd go with Eden.

IMO Sanchez is far more suited to play in the Premiership. But I doubt we would go for another right sided winger.

Is eden a lift sided player? Left foot? I dont know much about this guy. Seen sanchez and he's a cracking good player

I admit I have not seen both of them a huge amount but I agree Hazard edges it as the better player but Sanchez will have much less of an ego and be more of a team player imho.

There is no way he is going to sign for us ahead of Arsenal. So I'd rather he sign for Real than for Arsenal.

I remember people comparing Lennon with Messi four years ago. In four year time this will look just as silly.

Hazard is a much bigger talent, and already a better player, than Sanchez. Hazard is a Ronaldo/Messi-type of talent. Sanchez is a player who might become a Nani, Lennon etc. (Or, at worst, a Babel.)

A shame. He'd get loads of games here. I really hope Arsenal don't get him.

Tbf he's done more than Babel at his point in career whilst playing in a more difficult league. Haven't seen much of him though but I followed him a bit leading up to the WC and he was quite good there. Speed, technique and strength. Like a non-clumsy Bebe he is!

You're grouping Nani with Lennon. What an insult.

That's a very, very big statement to make.

Spot on.

For the record, Hazard's fiancee just had a baby so it's fairly obvious he'll be moving to London so as to stay close from his family (in Lille and Belgium). I doubt Chelsea can provide him with the playing time he requires so Arsenal seems a dead certainty to land him next year

Interesting. Not seen much of the two players. Didn't know there was such a difference in their potential. Huge praise that is, I must say.

Arsenal would defintely seem like the favourites to get him. I am sure Fergie will make a bid for him also if as expected Bale does not become on the market for a realistic price and if he decides Ashley young is a bit cack!

:wenger:!!!

How could you possibly justify putting Nani in the same category as Lennon? He's been our best attacking player for the whole of this year!

The only non-French player to win Ligue Un YPOTY, the only player to win it twice (never mind in consecutive seasons), made his debut at 16. I thought given all that, and the constant praise he gets from the French posters, I'd have to give him a look this season. Downloaded 9 of his games from this season, only just watched the first one there but that's all you really need to see this lad's talent - instantly impressive.

The touch, the flair, the directness, the vision, the pace...if he doesn't go on to be a top player he'll only have himself to blame - as Leekens said - because he's got so much talent.

Can you pm me the link to the one that impressed you most?
Thanks.

Why would moving to London mean he's staying close to his family in Belgium?
