In a well-ordered universe...
Probably more the fact that they didn't want Southgate.
Could still happen down the road.
Probably more the fact that they didn't want Southgate.
People would have complained whatever the outcome of this review.
The reality is the options we had were managers who have either failed at top clubs in recent years or have no experience managing a top 6 team...in any league.
It would have been a big gamble, and considering ETH has won things under the shambles of the Glazers, he deserves some credit.
We give him until December, do another mid season review and take it from there. I think this was the best option.
I can understand people wanting him to stay but celebrating it after we've just had our worst league finish in the PL era is insane to me.Are people celebrating a man that took us to 8th? It's a wierd world
Joke of a decision. He will be gone by Christmas
This fecking clubKeep rewarding mediocrity, I've already checked out of the 24/25 season
Correct answer. Why others can’t see it is beyond meBayern and Chelsea hired Championship managers. Liverpool hired the Aldi Ten Hag. The manager market is currently dreadful.
Right call to stick with Ten Hag and fix the footballing structure above him.
Could still happen down the road.![]()
You don't get what's to be a fan of this club or something. I'll let the top experts explain it to you.Are people celebrating a man that took us to 8th? It's a wierd world
Especially if Southgate does well in the euros - that would be a problem
The fact of the matter that had the FA Cup final gone the way that it did last season, we'd be making the opposite decision will never sit well with me and continue to be a source of malaise in regards to the new people in charge and our long term prospects as a club for me..."Right decision", good luck selling that when Southgate is managing us in January![]()
Pull Mainoo back to pair with ? in front of Martinez and ? and I'll agree with you. But man, ? is gonna be BUSY!Glad for him. He'll know he hasn't done good enough this season, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as we have been plagued with injuries.
Going into next season, he really needs to find that balance. He needs to address the fact that we are easy to play against but also think about how he's going to get the best out of our attacking players.
Rashford Hojlund ?
Mainoo Bruno
?
Shaw Martinez ? Dalot
Onana
Get those three signings right, and I don't see why we can't replicate our first season or better under ten Hag.
Very good is a stretch but I'll give you that. At no other serious club in the world does a manager does this bad in the following season and gets rewarded.Maybe they've not forgotten that ten Hag had a very good first season, whereas some fans seem to have short memories.
Vital he gets the CB, CM and ST he says we want now. All with a rumoured £50m net spend budget.
