Euro 2016 qualifiers

Annoying loss. Poor goals conceded. Didn't play well. Scored early, the Czechs took over and were the better side until they were gifted a 2nd goal. Rest of the game was just route 1 stuff from Iceland. Not the usual play. A substitute was wasted with a right back coming on for another right back. Could have used fresh legs up front later in the game instead. Another sub got a superb chance to level the match. Draw or a win was definitely feasible. Czechs as good as through now. Still a good 3 points ahead of Netherlands and 5 ahead of Turkey with 2 games against Kazakhstan and a home match against Latvia left which should be 9 points. The rest looks positive and we should qualify.

Just back from the game. Fantastic new stadium, excellent atmosphere, and at last Israel don't collapse when it matters in a big game.

Beat Wales at home in March and I reckon this team is going to make a major tournament for the second time ever, first being Mexico 70.

remeber seeing some highlights of the Sweden Israel match.. some funny moments.

Good game, overall I think we were slightly better although Italy had their chances. I think Italy was there for the taking, especially in the 2nd half when we completely hid the ball from them but couldnt make a clear chance.
Too bad for that golden Perišić chance near the end.. All in all a good point after a tough away game although this Italy is a lot worse compared to past Italian sides..
But all in all, 10 points after 4 games, I think we can be satisfied.

As for those idiots who threw flares (ref could have easily ended the game and I woulndt blame him) I hope police kicked the hell out of them and they deserve some kicking when they come home too. Idiots and lowlifes who probably dont understand how stupid is what they did, on the contrary the'yre probably very proud of their actions.

Security at San Siro was obviously non existent too, otherwise all those flare couldnt have gotten in the stadium.

We all, players and real fans, are hostage to a bunch of utter idiots. I condemn idiots who just stared at the idiots who threw flares instead of slapping them and stopping them...

Fe.king hell, I'm so mad..

From a Noggy perspective today went beautifully. Bulgaria drew, Italy and Croatia drew, Norway are at 3rd place with 9 points behind Croatia and Italy with 10 each. That's definitely better than I expected after our initial four matches ^_^

Yup, Norway very much in the mix. :)
We must beat you guys in March to get rid of you. :)

I just hope Uefa will punish us with few games in front of empty stands at most..

Although Italian FA should get a punishment, smaller than ours of course, cause all of those flares got into the stadium.

Question for resident BiH caftards, what the hell, loosing to Israel? What a massive collapse after a WC..

Is that Bosnian or Serbo-Croatian for last night?

Hmm, hard to tell. Maybe Croatian due the term "nogomet", but some of our media use it too. It's not serbian, that's for sure. Why?

I think I know what it says so just wanted to brag about proficiency in another language and didn't know which one it was. ;)

Regardless, Haifi sounds awful.

"Haifi" is just like how you say it in that tense, they still call it haifa I think.

Susic is set to be fired apparently, thank god for that, so that will be part of the problem fixed... Begovic, Pjanic and others have been speaking out against him kind of as well, Begovic saying the fa, manager and everyone is to blame, Pjanic saying "its no excuse but since the qualifiers started, I haven't played in my normal position". They aren't playing like a team, no belief in the manager, shit selections and tactics, things like that. Dont even get me started on the subs. Its amazing how far a manager can drag a team down really.

As b_r said, we say Haifa too, but the end of word changes if you have different prepositions before the word. I believe it's called "grammatical case" in English. There aren't similar examples in English, but if you know little bit of German or Latin I think you'll know what I am talking about.

So time is up for Sušić it seems?
Is there any hope for BiH to qualify now?

Well if he does get sacked, then I hope we can. Kolasinac (has had torn knee ligaments so far) and all our other players would be back, enough time to get this out of their systems as the next game is in March. We have to go on a near perfect run now though, which we are capable of but will be hard. 6 games left, we need 5 wins at least, and then against Belgium away it depends on others if we'll need a result. Would leave us on 17 points if we lose to belgium, which should be enough for third. No chance for the top 2 imo.

Normally, you'd still expect us to beat Israel and Wales at home, Andorra twice and then Cyprus away. Get a normal manager in who doesn't feck with the team and it might not be too late. Keep Susic and we have no hope.

Knowing us we would beat Belgium and lose against Andorra.

Yup,no hickups from now on..
Who's your favorite for a new manager?

Maybe Baka Slišković? :)

Haha no not sliskovic. Halihodzic is the ideal choice, experienced, proven, but I'm not sure if the fa would be willing to pay his wages. Dusan Bajevic is also another choice who I think would be good for us. We need someone strict and intense like him, especially to shore up the defence. No idea what other choices we have...

Apparently the meeting to decide Susic's future has just started so we'll find out soon.

Losing to Israel in Sarajevo would be slightly more respectable ;)

Seriously, Israel is still a limited side and considering its footballing history there is always a feeling of a disaster waiting to happen. Beating Andora and Cyprus (not trivial) at home and we're on 15 points, so the next home game against Wales is vital. Win that and we could finish on 18 even if we lose in Wales, Bosnia and twice against Belgium.

Susic is fired! Feel bit sorry for him because as a person he is not bad, sort of like Moyes situation, but he is really clueless as a manager.

I won't be happy unless we appoint someone who is actually good manager,so that leaves us just with Halilhodzic because we don't have money to pay high wages to some foreign managers. Also, the last thing we need is another legend who has no idea about managing a team. Shame Moyes is busy.

Yeah, I'll always thank him for bringing us to the world cup, but since then I don't know what happened but he's been clueless.
I don't know much about bajevic apart from what my dad told me about him, but at least he's experienced elsewhere and is a proper manager. Him or halihodzic are the only 2 choices, otherwise it'll be "ito sranje, drugo pakovanje".

He's been always clueless but he was bit lucky in terms of injuries, easy opponents and stuff like that so that's why he was exposed at WC, but still, fair play to him, he got us to the world cup, that's all you could ask from him.

I have no idea about Bajevic too, my mate says he heard it could be Bazdarevic, another one of rare ones who actually managed in better leagues, so when I think about it neither of those 3 wouldn't be that bad option and they all would probably be big improvemant on Susic, and they are much better than the likes of Amar Osim, Prosinecki and other who were suggested in media today.

Looks like he was a victim of his own success. Who the feck is Bosnia in world football to expect strolling through qualification groups? He just got you lot to the WC, and a dodgy start to Euro qualifiers get him the sack after 3-4 games. He had some bad luck with injuries to key players, which turned out to be crucial in a tricky away tie.

It was his tactics and selections the whole time though. Clear nepotism in selecting susic as a starter, though he didn't play badly, he still wasn't as good as other players. Freezing out certain players over a few things they said, fecking up the world cup, etc.. There were many things that led to it, his tactics and subs have always been clueless. Since the world cup though it became awful. If he continued in selecting normal lineups, keeping us playing the same way, nobody would've complained too much. But he started moving Pjanic around, who is our best player, on order to accommodate lesser players, played lopsided formations that even normal fans can see what the problems are, picking 6 midfielders in a team and being surprised when it crowds out the important players and you end up toothless.

Player wise, we should be strolling through the group and competing for first with Belgium. Pjanic, Džeko, Begovic, spahic, kolasinac, lulic, hajrovic, besic, salhovic all play for big teams around the world. In fact, our entire lineup comes from the big 4 leagues in the world, and not the relegation fodder either. Now its not enough to win competitions, but qualifying should be the bare minimum.

Nobody expected him to win the first place, but winning just 2 points after 4 games and losing pretty much every chance to qualify for the Euros after just four games(we always fought until the end even when we had really shit teams, and don't forget this one should be easiest to qualify so far), few awful friendlies, not having system after five years of being manager of this team, losing home against Cyprus and terrible WC campaign thanks to mainly his inept tactics, are more than enough to sack him.

Players.playing for big clubsdoes not guarantee anything. In fact, it could spell trouble if those players feel they are bigger than their national team. I still feel your expectations have been inflated, almost in England proportions. With all due respect, England don't make it to every major tournament and you have just reached your first.

Don't know about Susic much, but he wasn't the one responsible for Begovic's howlers against Belgium (and Cyprus?), unless of course Begovic is also family. I believe he can't be blamed for having no fit forwards for the game here too.

I'm still gutted Halilhodžić left Dinamo. He was the only serious manager Dinamo had since Mamić came. But of course he couldnt work with someone like Mamić. Dinamo looked like a proper team for that short period Vahid was there..
