Yes, he still needs to improve and with experience he will I have no doubt. His positional awareness can be weak, he is all over the place at times.

The header was offside. Silva was very close though, was convinced it was going into the net.

The usual under Fernando Santos. Uninspiring and slow football. I don´t want to be all doom and gloom but future doesn´t look bright.

Yep. His main weapons like long shots and sprints from the wing are completely inefficient when he is playing in the center. In fact, even today he looked more dangerous when he went into the left wing.
 
That video of Germany's third goal would be better if it showedthe full build up starting from Hummels controlling the clearance.
