Shaw and Smalling were playing well till about midway and then the game just got so boring I dozed off.
I know.. been really impressed with them these two games against Sweden. Alaba is a star.
Sweden though.. Talent-wise this edition is probably the worst Sweden team I've seen in 25 years.. And it seems a terribly coached team as well.
Hopefully the kids who won the U21 Euros will develop well, because we really need some new blood.

Ian Wright speaking sense about Sterling there, I was thinking the same towards the end of the half. He has wonderful talent but he lets game pass him by a bit too much.

Sweden - Austria. What a half of Football. Hectic pace, dynamic, there was no resting phase for the whole 45 minute. Both sides played for their lives, it seemed.

The best chances had come from the left side where Shaw is having a great game, Oxlade has been hiding for most of the game up until that chance just before. But it'd definitely be good if there's more balance with the attacks down the sides.
