In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) is joined by CEO Duncan Drasdo and Financial Director Andy Green from the Manchester United Supporters Trust for a special episode on all things behind the scenes at Old Trafford including a brief history of MUST and their aims today, views on INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe so far, and the Old Trafford regeneration.

The end product of all this (if successful) is a GBE (Governing Body Endorsement) which is the main component of the work permit application.
I'm also interested in where we see him fitting in - would we have another Kagawa on our hands?
We need someone who doesn't slow things down, especially during counter-attacks. He looks like he's always finding a way to go through.

If he wants to come to us, and he's the type of player we need, then we'd be fools to turn him down. Money might be an issue as Brazilian clubs tend to hold out for the maximum (well from recent transfers anyway).
I've heard 8 million, it's probably bullshit as I've no idea how true that is.

There's no sign of him in the Spanish press apart from in coverage of the Brazilian league. The main Madrid forums haven't got the rumour either. Sport and a couple of other papers quoted the Daily Mail story today. If Madrid are active then they're being very quiet about it.

Was listening to Tim Vickery the other day on BBC's WFPI. He said experts in Brasil didn't think he was capable of the season he's just had, they just didn't see it in him. He didn't say it overtly, but it seemed like people in Brasil think of him as a flash in the pan, a James Beattie if you will.

MANCHESTER United transfer target Everton Ribeiro has previously spoken about his admiration for the Premier League champions but is concentrating on life with Cruzeiro.

Ribeiro won the award for the best player in the Brazilian top flight last season and helped Cruzeiro to the Brasileiro Serie A and Copa Libertadores qualification.
The Brazilian acknowledged that there was talk of a move, but he is focussed on his current club.
Ribiero said: "There is a lot of speculation but for now I am just enjoying my vacations.
"I'll present myself at Cruzeiro on 6 January to have a good pre-season and another great year at Cruzeiro."
It seems that Ribeiro wants to fulfil a dream and play in the Copa Libertadores, but once he has achieved that, the midfielder isn't ruling anything out.

Hilarious how many are willing to write him off as being shit based on 1 minute of youtube footage....A coupld of years ago I remember loads saying Neymar would be another Robinho based on 2 minutes of youtube footbage before he started becoming the player most Brazilians felt he would become......Fernandinho of Man city is 28.....Ribeiro is 24...I doubt too many fans on here would have wanted us to sign Fernandinho of City 4 years ago after watching 2 mins of youtube footage of him.....
I think it's more that people who've only seen a couple of Youtube minutes aren't willing to write him on - either as an answer to our midfield's prayers or even as a target in anyone other than his agent's and the Daily Mail's mind.
I don't know about anyone else but I'd love to hear someone on here say, "Yes, I've been watching him regularly - he'd be great for us."
As for the Fernandinho comparison or what he'll be like when he's 28. If he goes to play for Shaktar for 8 years or spends a couple of years in Portugal - then maybe more of us will know who they're talking about, the next time the press talks about us buying him.
Brazilian player of the year, he must be decent. Of all the players that we are linked to, he is probably the only one who is available.

Player of the year yet doesn't get a sniff in the national team and hasn't found a move before now considering he's 24, something seems off.
Some players are late developers, seems it's mainly due to a change of position. Brazil have so many players to choose from, it's not that strange that he hasn't been called up yet.

Rafael barely gets a sniff either, and Maicon is preferred as a back up to Alves. Even Jo and Ronaldinho are still getting games. I think something is off with the whole national team.

Might just be a late developer but I tend to agree with you, I think. A player like this would need to have a few quality seasons in a row before I'd be convinced. Signing him after one fantastic season would be a risk.
Well we're obviously not gonna fork out the cash for established stars so risk signings like this are the only way to go I'm afraid.
It doesn't mean all that much. In recent years Ronaldinho and Adriano won it while long past their peak, Dario Conca and Thiago Neves wouldn't get in our team and the only recent winner who is the real deal is Neymar. Maybe 10 years ago it meant something but not any more.
Why is that? Is it because the player of the year is generally awarded to someone who doesn't deserve it or is the quality in the league just not that high?
