Everton v Manchester United

Out: Neville, Rio, Vidic, Silvestre, Saha, Park

----------------------Van Der Sar------------------
O´Shea------Brown-----------------Heinze-----Evra
Ronaldo-----Scholes----------------Carrick-----Giggs
-------------Rooney----------------Smith----------

Subs: Kuszczak, Fletcher, Richardson, Solskjaer, Dong

2-1 United - Scholes, Smith - Osman

Howard can't play because he is on loan. The deal becomes perminant at the end of the season, good thinking by Fergie. Johnson is doubtful as well

Team should be.....

GK: VDS

RB: O'Shea
CB: Brown
CB: Heinze
LB: Evra

RM: Ronaldo
CM: Carrick
CM: Scholes
LM: Giggs

CF: Rooney
CF: Smith

No one should be rested this game is far more important than the Milan game, 1-2 UTD Rooney with a double

That's certainly the team I'd go with, agree with the scoreline as well.

0-2, Rooney and Scholes

This is going to be a tough one. Everton's home form is pretty good, and they do have some quality players. Plus you can always count on our former goalkeeper have the game of his life.

Don't you think Fergie will rest at least Giggs and it will be Richardson starting? Giggs played the whole 90 yesterday. I also thought Ronaldo looked a bit stale but we have no one who can replace him so hopefully he can have a big game. At least the team should be on a high after Milan so maybe the momentum can overcome the tiredness. We have to win this one for sure.:nervous:

Any type of a win please, lucky, flukey,....I don't give a toss!.......'cause, as well as being nearer the title, players will probably start coming back next week, Vidic, Gaz, Saha, Park, Rio !......all fairly fresh legs just when badly needed!

I agree, No one should be rested. Giggs must start and he should be taken off only if he ask to be taken off or if he plays really badly which I doubt it. If we are winning 2-0 or 3-0 then Alex should think of resting some of the players. But it is just my opinion cos Alex knows best

Remember SAF (and players): League is more important the Europe - think about what happened at Portsmouth

Howard could have played, but SAF had a clause wrote into his contract that he couldn't play against us this season. when the contract was drawn up he knew this fixture would be important to us.
SAF is always ahead of the game.

1-2

hopefully get a gol either side of the half, everton with a late goal to put us under pressure!

scholes giggs

Lets start with our best team and then bring players off for a rest when we are winning.

Dont think Giggys will start unfortunalty.

Has anyone got confirmation that Howard cant play?

Don't get me wrong - its great to be going for trophies on three fronts. However, I just hope the return against Milan won't be uppermost in Fergie's mind or the team's for that matter. We have to focus totally on Everton and field our best side from the start. We simply cannot afford to rest key players as this and of course the one against City next weekend are very tough fixtures. We've got to keep in mind that if we win both those games the championship is as good as won.

I worry about Gaby in the middle. His performances so far there have been very iffy. I'd prefer JOS there alongside Brown. Fletch can do a job at RB until Gary gets back or even Evra there for that matter.

I thought CR looked tired & I wouldn't be surprised if the line-up is as per Milan with Smith replacing him. If we're ok then Giggsy might get some rest in the 2nd half.

I'd also think that if Rio is at all doubtful for Italy then O'Shea should go to CB with Brown, and Evra to RB, to give the CB's a game's experience together.

probable line up

The Everton fans site reckon Johnson might not even make the Portsmouth game next week. And Cahill is also doubtful. Howard's definitley not playing as his loan tingy goes on until July 1st when he officially is sold. Good work by Fergie there. The Everton fans don't seem too pleased about the team they are able to put out but this worries me. It means they'll be trying to kick our players off the park rather than beat them with skill and that wouldn't be good for Milan next week. I'm concerned only about that aspect. I reckon we'll do them easily but I'm not so sure we'll come away with a full team. Tricky business this treble stuff. I'll just leave it to Fergie and pray.

should try to kill the game off ASAP, please don't bring Richardson on Fergie, at least not until we have a 2 goal lead.

Why are you lot fearing Howard, feck sake.

Anyway, will be as tight as shaggin an umpa-lumpa up its...

1-2

No one else think Scholes should be rested for this one? He looked dead on his feet by the end of the Milan game.

Could easily recall Smith.

--------- Fletcher ---- Carrick
----------------- Giggs
--- Ronaldo ----------------- Rooney
----------------- Smith

Think it should be Giggs rested if anyone - Scholes has had quite a few rests this season what with his suspension and all the England matches and Giggs is a year older!!! Although if SAF fancied a gamble he could rest both and have a Fletch/Carrick CM pairing and Kieran on the LW (gulp!!) ....

dunno if anyone has spotted this - but the bbc are reporting that everton have recalled ian turner from sheff weds and he will start. so no richard wright??

Not Richardson, rather Solskjaer played.

I think play Fletcher, Carrick, Rooney, Ronaldo and Rooney. Then like you said drop one of Scholes or Giggs.
