Everton vs. Man United

They and Giggs deserve one more game at Old Trafford.,
Our home games aren't too bad so I'd want them to start those games, going to be a sad day when they all leave :(
They deserve a proper send off, legends, all 4 of them.

Is Moyes finally realising that we need footballers in the team not athletes?

Pleased to see mata, nani and Kagawa playing. Fletcher and Evans huge weak links.

Interesting team - looks like a "lets play those who intend to be here next season"

I don't know if that is the case behind the line up, but it's a tasty lineup for sure. Now just hope we play some great football and tear Everton a new one.

Very slick looking attacking team. It feels so long since we've played. I'm just imagining how well they can all link up together.

I just hope we manage to shut Everton up today. They're a disgrace for erasing all the good Moyes has done for their club. That isn't right, and it would be nice for us to leave with all 3 points.

Everton fans have lost all respect for Moyes because he tried to get Fellaini and Baines on the cheap? Or has Moyes done/said something else. It just comes across as extremely ungrateful, all the hate he is getting.
Think he said something, stuff like they should let them go as it's the right thing for the duo, if he was there he would let them go, basically being a hypocrite, and treating them like a small club. Doesn't deserve the amount of abuse he'll get though. They should be thankful we gave them £27.5m for that useless oaf in midfield too.

Really tempted to start a Young-Ando-Valencia renaissance movement. Kagawa and Mata are terrible; how the feck does DM not see it...

...just to see if Moyes is picking his lineups by reading Redcafe.

I wouldn't put it past him after can't-sub-RvP-hi-ho-diddly-oh-gate.

Fantastic attack today. Mata, Nani, Kagawa and Rooney. Looks sexy on paper.

The squad isn't good enough though. Not enough talented players. The players playing today suddenly appeared out of nowhere that's why we look better overall, not because they were out of favour...
It's actually funny how he said that shit so many times but at the same time was isolating our talented players and leaving them out.

That wouldn't explain seeing young so often though... unless he turned to our wealth if footballing knowledge after nothing worked for him (and by nothing I mean leaving the good players on the bench).

Is it me or does this game have a pre-season feel to it?

Both teams with not much to play for. Well you could argue Everton have a chance at fourth, but it was always unlikely anyway.

Is Moyes using these last few games of the season to let players showcase their skills and win a place for next season?

Na, Nani gives us the natural width on 1 side while also being able to move in and get involved..

And Nani's more suited to playing on the right.

I doubt that. We need to end the season well and try and get as close to 4th as possible. As someone posted earlier, if we get 5th, we won't be having to go through the EL qualifying rounds in July.

Good lineup, hopefully the front four show us what they're capable of.

By the way, the reaction to Moyes from the Everton fans is over the top, regardless if he tried to get Baines and Fellaini in the summer.

The lack of any defenders on the bench is just asking for trouble so i expect we'll receive our due share of it in that quarter .

Danny should be in there ahead of Rooney IMO but then that was never likely with Moyes at the helm.

1-1 maybe, or is that too optimistic? ;) Time will tell.

I'd very much doubt that. Moyes will be absolutely desperate to win this game, for obvious reasons.

I really don't understand why Everton fans are upset at him. If he hadn't left, they'd still be stuck with him. Now, they've improved and he's our

Like the look of the team. Although happy, i'm a bit surprised to see the inclusion of Nani, having played very little football recently. I suppose he needs to start somewhere, though.

I hope we stuff 'em.

Who would you swap for him out of the XI?
Rooney, maybe? Did awful in the second leg and we can't be sure if he's fully fit. Never does well against Everton either, but, he is of course Moyes' golden boy.

Welbeck's reward for being our best player over two legs against Bayern? The bench...

I feel Kagawa was our best player in the second leg against Bayern, therefore, I think it was a toss up out of the two, as Rooney and Mata won't be dropped and neither of them (Kagawa and Welbeck) are naturally suited to the right flank.

Everton have a massive amount to play for. They will be well up for this. I would have preferred to see a more combative team out as i can see it being fast paced and aggressive. Even Valencia in for Nani. We're gonna miss Rafa so much :(

I'd have him ahead of Rooney after their Bayern performances. no question.
we have a squad, gotta rotate to keep people happy. I like to think if this was a big game, like a cup final, where you pick the absolute strongest team then Danny would be in the 11. But not a fairly meaningless game like today
