Everton vs. Man United

Mata and Kagawa work with a striker like Hernandez running in behind creating space. When Rooney plays and drop deep, there is literally no movement up front..

No manager in the world could plan for that sort of lunacy fron his own players.

Yet you don't see these sort of mistakes by players in good teams...

Get real. EVERYTHING stems from the manager.

These players don't even look like they know what they're doing.

Bunch of useless bastards.

Pass to the side. Pass it backwards.

We look like fecking cowards out on the pitch.

It's such an effort watching us play.

Martinez is bossing Moyes. People were praising United for their possession, but that was Everton's intent. We are being killed on the counter.

Moyes just needs a little more time and 200 million.

GIVE HIM MORE TIME, THEY SAY

Surprised at people saying Moyes Out for this game.

We've had far worse games and far more embarrassing results than this.

Phil Jones has been quality this season, now a mistake and people saying he shouldn't be in the squad, unreal. Kagawa still playing badly, people still defending him.

No tempo in our game at all. Rooney takes 6 touches to control the football and then plays the wrong pass. One touch football really is sth we don't seem to be capable of.

Did we really think we were going to earn anything against a top 6 side?

Don't be an WUM, we all know his isn't great at marking. But he did the job for us against Munich. Not sure how great Evra would have been in a similar situation
The difference between Evra and Buttner is that Evra is a slow vingback who plays high up the pitch and can't get to or don't bother to get to the right position again, even if he knows he should.
Buttner doesn't know where he is supposed to be at all times, but has the pace to at least do something when he is where he should be or near it.

Wingers are usually pacy, therefor Buttner > Evra, even defensively.

In truth, it could have been more, shocking stuff again. We've had 9 days to prepare for this, Everton have had 3. We have been outplayed from the start, its looking very likely that after today it will be mathematically impossible to get fourth spot, we could also be 12 points behind Everton.

One f*cking shot on target, ONE!!! Only twice we had more than 1 players in their box when attacking!!!! And for what? We have allowed them acres of space behind our back four. Jesus Christ, it's become embarrassing.

We are just woeful defensively and offensively Rooney has ruined any decent position we've managed to get into, what's wrong with his decision making?! One with and Fletcher and another with Mata all he had to do is square the ball to the player unmarked on the edge of the box! Get Chica on.

Defensively we're a mess. Thought we were decent going forward, lacking the final ball and a few bad decisions in the last third. Kagawa, nani both playing pretty well, mata getting caught on the ball occasionally which is uncharacteristic of him.
Rooney hasn't been as awful as you're all saying, needs to stop doing that pass though, especially when that option out wide is smalling. This game shows how we lack a proper defensive mid, like what we'll get with carvalho. When we try to play attacking football we get too open defensively because of the slow midfielders.

Some of this season's failings are clear to see again. Plenty of possession but a real lack of cutting edge and far too open at the back.

There's been too much sloppiness in front of their penalty area. Mata, Kagawa, Rooney, Nani have all been at fault for dilly dallying on the ball or playing pointless passes. We still can't direct our energy into a proper and potent threat.

Nice and pretty football but no cutting edge. Everton have been fast and ruthless on the counter. Would like to see Welbeck in the second half as he might be able to pin Coleman back a bit and give us a different dimension but fear the game is beyond us already.

No, it's not, it's a stupid fallacy that's used to deflect blame from Moyes.

In midfield we have:

Carrick, Fletcher, Kagawa, Mata, Nani

Everton have:

Barry, McCarthy, Naismith, Mirallas, Barkley

There are no excuses.

Rooney's movement as the last man is nigh non-existent. He's just standing between two defenders watching the play. A few times Mata and Kagawa have turned into space centrally but had no run ahead of them to pick out. Naturally, those are the times that Rooney hasn't gone wandering to 'get involved'.

Still not a shot on target, since that one came off Barry. Ha.

Rooney off. Welbeck or Hernandez on. The 3 behind the striker are doing fine IMO. It's Rooney's pinball-machine ball control that is wrecking everything when we go forward.

I miss RVP's magnetic hold up play. He'd relish playing in this line up, rather than the usual Young/Valencia cross machine we've fielded most of the year.

Smalling is so poor on the ball. Playing him at fullback is always a disaster.
Rooney is the weak link in our attack.

This season can go eat a bag of dicks then die of fecking aids.

363 days ago we won the league and now we are a fecking joke.

Same issue in this game as earlier ones in season stupidity in defence, throwing an arm in front of the ball and conceding a penalty then someone just switching off and not pushing out fast enough. We are constantly shooting ourselves in the foot with comical decision making in defence.

It's amazing how slow we are again. Some of the passing was good but there is no tempo in our attacks and Everton has ages to sort their defense. This way we won't break down a defensively strong side like Everton, no chance.

I know what what it means to be playing against 'teams who have nothing to play for'

Shoe on the other foot.

The upside is that hopefully this will accelerate we getting a new manager who can inspire and get things right against the big teams.

Ready to kick in the TV but it is not the thing that needs a drop kick. Pathetic performance so far.

I'm a Kagawa fan but he has been awful. Doesn't even track back and lets Coleman runs rampant.

Mata and Kagawa work with a striker like Hernandez running in behind creating space. When Rooney plays and drop deep, there is literally no movement up front..

Exactly.

Nothing will be right with the world until Moyes and his whole back room team get the feck out of our club. Loser.

Wow - we play five a side - with players like Kagawa and Nani who is completely uncapable of doing something threatening with the ball - they counter and score.

And who the hell is supposed to cover our side - we have 5 man in midfield - and Buttner is Always alone. Well it's official for me - Nani and Kagawa is gone after this season. Useless players!
Idiot.
