Everton vs. Man United

214 goals and 113 assists.

Rooney is shite.

kagawa Mata and nani can t play together at the same time. Most posters over here were happy to see them in the line up but the actual game showed the flaws of such a formation. Great with the ball in our feet, extremely exposed when we lose it.

Ermm...we've been sh*te no matter what team we've picked this season. There is a common denominator in all this. I won't say who. His names becoming a swear word in here.

Also we need to tell mata/nani/Rooney/kagawa to have a go now and then and shoot around the box. We're trying to pass through them too much. I like the possession but the players don't know when to stop and have a go.
In order to do that we must've prepared attacking moves and one-two combinations in training, with some players doing the runs forward and others providing cover simultaneously. Managers don't get paid to just throw in 11 players and pray to God they create chances and score goals. I think it's become clear by now, that we haven't got a plan to score. Our plan is not to concede and stay alive in the game until someone (hopefully) scores a goal.

Really? What have we done in other areas of the pitch that would make it a good performance?
Controlled the game, just lacking the final ball. The passing is good to a point but there needs to be a balance and know when to go direct and have a shot. It's just we've been shite defensively.
Maybe my expectations are just severely lowered because of moyes but it's been a better performance then our other big games

Some serious over reactions on here. We haven't been great but if the defenders weren't all over the place this would be seen as a good performance so far. It's all on Evans and jones and buttner so far.

Those defenders are playing like players who have had no defensive drills at all.

I'm not talking about making individual errors and it costing us the game, they are playing without any form of positional discipline at all.

I think Moyes will still be safe despite this result. We knew that we are missing out on CL football and Europa doesn't mean anything. Sacking a manager for one result isn't the Manchester United way. At least he is trying to win a CL spot until it is mathematically impossible (may be even after that, give his condition).
Why are you talking about "sacking a manager for one result"? Have you been living in a cave for the past eight months?

This is why I refer to Moyes supporters as cultists. It's like they are brainwashed and no amount of evidence is good enough.

It's not just one result though, is it? it's an entire season of mind-boggling incompetence. The mans a joke.

I like the way you use him trying as a compliment, as if we should be happy with that. I'm pleased he's not showing up to work drunk but it's not exactly praiseworthy either.

My post came out different. I was trying to explain the Glazer's way of thinking if they don't sack him after this result.

Fletcher needs a pre-season to finish his come-back, no need to bash him after the illness he had...

Kagawa needs to go, I'm talking both in this game and in the summer..
The problem is that there likely won't be a comeback, at least not to the standard that we need. I love Fletcher (in fact, I think he would have made a fine captain,) but his time has come and gone, which is a real shame when you consider how good he was about 4 years ago.

One could argue we've been a hit with only two moments of inspiration by Everton but in truth we've been ineffective in making Howard worry at all.

Wayne Rooney seem like he has eaten something very heavy before the match.
He looked clumsy on the ball. United's passes are wasted as there is no real center forward to pass to.
No body is moving into spaces when the mid-fielder has the ball. Johnny Evans and Phil Jones are not combining well.
Moyes really has no idea on who to play and is chopping and changes too frequently that the 2 center backs cannot combine well.
Moyes needs to be changed as he is more a hindrance than advantage.

I don't know why people are blaming Moyes for this, of all the times to criticise him this is not the time. We're missing our two first choice full backs against the best two in the league, the front four haven't played a single minute together before, and Rooney, Nani, Buttner, and Evans can be excused for being a bit rusty.

The back five is very young too, give them time ffs.

We were decent in patches, we had some decent spells of possession and some decent passing in midfield, but we did nothing with it and just overplayed it aimless in midfield and kept losing it because of wrong choice of pass or lack of movement. Once they worked this out they just sat back and hit us whenever we lost it in midfield.
Like someone pointed out, they weren't Villa or Newcastle, they can actually play a bit.
