Everton vs Manchester United

What's the everton line up?

arrrgh, you moaning bitches!

give the lads a chance to kick a ball at least

that´s why we have a big squad

Silvestre is probably playing because Everton are a very physical side and Fergie wants extra cover. Evra can do a job on the wing and you wouldn't drop him, would you?

you cnuts then don´t even watch the match

just come after that on doom and gloom fiesta

Right fecktards I am at work so will be relying on this thread to keep track of the match. So you better not mess this thread up, anyone who does gets canned, no questions asked.

Thats a lie, I cant actually can you, but I just always wanted to say that. Seriously though, lets keep it clean people. I knwo no one wants to give jase an excuse to press any buttons

Just once this season, it'd be nice for us to have a game where Sir Alex hasn't managed to infuriate me before it's even kicked off.

shit, feck, wank, bloody hell fergie what are you thinking of?

Anderson not fit, don't want to risk Saha yet.. Evra is god like when attacking, O'Shea injured, Fletcher injured, Rooney just started training(d'oh)..

Everton
33 Wessels
02 Hibbert
04 Yobo
05 Lescott
03 Baines
06 Arteta
16 Jagielka
18 Neville
21 Osman
08 Johnson
22 Yakubu
Substitutes
12 Turner, 11 McFadden, 20 Pienaar, 26 Carsley, 28 Anichebe

off bbc :

1121: Hang on Tom, news just in... Tim Howard does not play! The Everton keeper's poorly finger keeps him out, so Stefan Wessels will be in between the sticks. Anyone ever seen Wessels play?

Well lets get on with it.

We can always bring Saha and Nani on at half time.

We said that about City, Portsmouth and Reading.

Everton are better than all of them.

Shouldn't underestimate teams.

We should have beatedn all those teams you mentioned. i am not underestimating Everton at all. I know it will be a tough game but it is still a game we should win.

Strange that Saha has'nt started. This could easily end up like the City game. Saha and Nani no doubt will be needed at half time. Still fancy us to win it.

Aye its a bit annoying, considering this is one of the hardest games of the season. Still, hes surprised us in the past. Just got to have faith I guess, its still 11 v 11 either way

Right, I'm usually way out of these threads on matchday; I just wanted to say that I'm quite confused and pissed off with the Line-up. Why not play Giggs on the wing and Saha up front, with Evra at left back? Why do we have to play our players out of position?

We want Louis.

Man I came to check the line up on here and thought I would just say this place is depressing.

SAF's potential theory:
Everton are a hard-working side that will tire our players; it will be a very physical game. If we keep it clean and compact (i.e: tight around the wings etc) we can match them and the players will naturally fatigue as the game wears on. Therefore, in the second half, when pace-players Saha and/or Nani come on, they'll be much more effective, rather than starting with them and allowing them to tire with the game.

I suspect there's an secret agreement between us and Everton that Tim Howard will never play against us.

Evra is much faster than Nani when it comes to doing those runs + he will be able to help Mickey out much more. Saha obviously isn't ready for 90 minutes and Giggs is the only option left. This is the same team that we had up against Chelsea in the CS game - except for Rooney. Hopefully we'll be able to put the ball away this time, and if not us then Phil will :)

I kinda understand the decision not to play Evra at left back. Everton have pacy forwards that would have had lots of space to work in on the counter when Evra goas on one of his forward runs. This way Evra still contributes to the attack but we have Sylvestre at the back as cover.

It was annoying a few weeks back, it's begining to feel a bit depressing now.

It's the Tevez thing that gets me really. All that fuss to bring him in, just so that Ferguson could persist with using him in a role he's utterly useless at. A half fit Saha is far, far more useful in that position than Tevez could ever hope to be

and if Hargreaves was fit, you could bet any money he'd be playing, in a 4-3-3

Just, why?

Yeah, to say the least. Yakubu and Johnson are going to be more than a handful if they get good balls to work with. I can see a nightmare coming if we start giving the ball away in the middle. We probably want to stop Arteta from reaching the ball, and by putting Evra on the wing we can keep him under surveillance and at the same time keep the pushed back when we attack due to Evra's enormous speed. Hopefully this will show why none of the bigger teams went after Baines...
