Everton vs. Manchester United

I just don't understand why Ferguson didn't make a substitution after their 2nd goal. We needed to do something to calm down and break up their momentum.

We could have lost it at the death too with more abysmal defending.

Their late 2 goals both came from crosses from Neville's side also. O'Shea lost Cahill for the first, not sure about the 2nd.

You've got be fecking kidding me?!? I went upstairs around 90 minutes to get ready for the gym and we were leading 1-3. Unbelievable. What the feck happened? Who scored/who was at fault?

Sick. How did that happen, midfield and defence looked like they were already in the dressing room

I remember how bad I felt when we were winning against Arsenal by a goal, and Henry scored two in the last 8-10 minutes.

That's it AdZ, a poor assumption to think the game is over because there's only a few minutes left. At least we know we won't be doing that again anytime soon, Sir Alex will make sure of that.

madness... 3-1 and throw it all away in the last 2 minutes, we totally lost focus and concentration , get the hairdryer out....

Two points down the drain, no other way to look at it when you concede 2 goals in the last 3 minutes, gutted.

That's exactly what everyone said after the Fulham game ...

 Got to think about the poor people who left the ground thinking it was in the bag. Must be a shock when they're in the car turning on the radio.

Well, if that wasn't enough of a wake up call, this will be.

"It's a funny old game" as Greavsie used to say. Got to laugh though, if you didn't it would only make you unhappy. Even as an amateur (very amateur) footballer I still would have put the ball in the stands and done anything to waste time when they made it 3-2, but never mind, sure we will put it right against the red half of Liverpool in the next league game.

This is how shell shocked Bayern must have felt in 99, but slightly more probably.

What exactly can he do? He trust his old men, they were tired out there, made just about the wrong substitution, don't know why he did not bring Gibson on.
To me that was not a good team out there, we almost got great results and I was happy for a while but when the third goal went in with evans standing on the goal line already raising his arms to start blaming people, it was like I had seen it all before.
We need to improve our passing, it is a must. Very few of our players can pass well to retain possession.

You win some and you lose some is my opinion (yes I know today was a draw!). You can't always hold on, think of the amount of times United have broken oppsing fans hearts with a comeback. Sometimes you have to be on the recieving end, that is the way the wheel of life turns.

I've never subscribed to this whole 'wake up call' gubbins. If an EPL footballer needs something - in this case the pain of defeat - to remind him that not giving his all might somehow not be good enough, then he should be playing Sunday League.

I don't need a crash to remind me that driving a car on the wrong side of the road might not end happily.

I feel like I've been raped... wtf happened?

I know the Nani and Berbatov misses were gonna cost us... Even though we were 3-1 up.

we've done it enough to other teams over the years. This is how it feels like.

Just imagine Bayern .... ouch

This is Football lads, sometimes you have to applaud your oppsition instead of taunting your own players. yes you might feel sick at the moment but perspective will come with time.

I can't accept it still we bottled the game like this....:annoyed:

What kind of madness corrupted Fergie's soul when he decided putting Darron 'cant run, wont run' Gibson on the pitch? We'd have been better off putting Matt Lucas' pretend disabled character from little Britain in center midfield.

He didn't bring Gibson on. Plus I don't see how people can blame the likes of Nani and Berba with their missed chances. It would have been more frustrating had they missed chances with the score tied or us behind but we were on the home straight by that point. I bet people weren't cursing their misses on the 90th minute when we were cruising at 3-1. Two spastic moments at the back cost us the game.

no. the difference here is we did it to ourselves.

Everton were average today, but we did not have the hunger...and anger to finish the job.

They were far better than us in the first half, particularly the first 25 mins and could easily have been ahead at half time. Howard made some excellent saves for them and Pienaar was having an excellent game, they were far from average.
