Everton vs. Manchester United

classy and mature response there from Moyes. he could have milked the situation , given his history with Rooney. Went up in my estimations

It's been buried and is history now. In all honesty, the problem stemmed from Rooney's autobiography not Moyes. Over the past year or so things have been good between them.

Although we've always known this was going to be a difficult fixture the confirmed line-up just emphasises that fact more. Judging by the midfield that we have out this is going to be a very tight game. I wouldn't be surprised if we drop points here but hopefully I can look back at that prediction and laugh.

Good ball retention in our midfield, should be an interesting battle.

Norwegian expert Erik "The Viking" Thorstvedt claiming that Berbatov is a not a United-player because of his poor work rate and body language. Good times, good times. Get a goal or five today, Berbs!

For the people bitching and moaning at Rooney, you're all idiots. You can be sure that he will have been begging Ferguson to let him play today, but Ferguson has made a decision to protect him and shelter him from the shower of abuse he'd get today.

At the end of the day he is a human being and that makes him fallible, he showed this with the mistakes he made and he's paying for that at home. The fact he is still a human being though gives reason every reason to protect him and with a bit of luck we'll benefit from it later in the season.

We've all read the stories about the class and compassion of Ferguson and how he acts as a Father figure, we'll how about us fans try and show a bit of the same class and compassion here?

Our squad should be capable of getting 3 points here without Rooney so the blame will go to the 14 that play today, not the man trying hold together his breaking up family.

With or without Rooney we have the players to win this today.

On a different note, I just watched this same fixture from the 06/07 season on the "classic match" thing on the Premier League channel the other day. That game pretty much won us the title, coming back from two down.

After watching that I would have felt a lot more confident if we had Kieran Richardson and Chris Eagles ready to come of the bench today

Again, I don't think we need O'Shea in MF

----Fletch----

Giggs-----Scholes

Would be much greater...

Also that adds Valencia to the squad, and possibly JSP which I do think contributes more to our play than JOS, then again, I could be wrong...

Anyway, Everton have no true CF which is going to hurt them, they are going to press, pile the pressure and try something from set pieces which is poor mans' football imo.

I'd rather they throw everything they have at us and this is Goodison park...

Why did the Champions League theme just play?

Got a feeling this will be a dire game. Both teams set up not to lose, hopefully one of Giggs/Scholes/Nani/Berba can conjure something up.
