Really dislike this fixture. It's not been fun for the past few years!

De Gea

Jones
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Fletcher
Cleverley
Young

Rooney
Hernandez

Liking that a lot.

Evra needs dropped, just to sort him out.

As much as I'd like us to drop Evra, Ferdinand etc. I think it is high time we start playing a settled back 4.

With Vidic back it is an opportunity to start getting a consistent back 5.

Team should be...

GK: De Gea

RB: Smalling
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
LM: Young

CF: Rooney
CF: Welbeck

Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Anderson, Park, Valencia, Hernandez, Berbatov

Cant see Cleverley being involved tbh, reckon he's more likely for the Champions League game in midweek. Fletcher over Anderson simply because he's scored a few goals at Goodison in the past. Always a tough place to go, but if ever we needed a win there it's this weekend

I think I want to see Smalling back in central defense because Jones goes forward often and leaves the defense a little vulnerable. Jones is fine playing right back for now. Rio and Evra on the sub bench.

I can't see us playing both Fletcher and Carrick. It will one or the other. Ando will start for sure.

you know something we don't ?

he wasn't great on sunday. I don't think anyone can be sure who will start in midfield, in fact anywhere on the field after last Sunday.

He offers something different compared to the boring styles of both Fletcher and Carrick and they are both kinda on the defensive side.

Cleverley not ready yet. Might make the bench. In CM I'd play Anderson and Carrick!

nani---------carrick--------fletcher----------young

-------------rooney--------berbatov------------

no choice but to pick rio and evra, despite their poor form, hope with vidic back they both will get better.

i don't know why young has been very poor lately, and ando was the same last weekend. i am not sure who should start in midfield now, tempted to start with cleverley but not sure whether he is 100% ready to start. he should at least be on the bench though...

up front just got a feeling we should start to give berba a chance again..got nothing against hernandez and welbeck but maybe this is the game that we need berba, a bit weird to say because i always thought berba suits us playing at home.

Do I have this right that only ESPN3 is carrying this in the US Saturday morning? Dammit. I want to watch on tv, not online. Yes, I know I'm spoiled.

I thought Fabio did very well today, and I wouldn't mind seeing him get a start. He's been on the periphery most of the season and I feel now, more than ever, would be a time to liven up the squad.

This is how i'd like us to line up.

Everton will be up for it, we need to be in our best to win. No messing around in defending and we must start creating chances and dominating position like we did at the start of the season.

BIG reaction needed in this game, and not an easy game at all. Definitely not the one I would have chosen for us to play after last Sunday's twatting. Hopefully Cleverley and Vidic will be back, and Jones and Hernandez will start. No Fletcher-Anderson in a 4-4-2 PLEASE.

If memory serves me correctly Berbatov was playing brilliantly against this crowd last season until things started to go pear shaped for us. I wouldn't mind seeing him starting again for us on Saturday especially on the back of the performance he put in for us last night.

Always a tough place to go the lads will be in the mood to right last weeks undoing.
Win it by a couple 3-1

A boring, gritty 1-0 will do me here. Also why are we having a lunchtime kick-off if we aren't on TV, I can't remember the last time we had a 3 O'Clock kick-off away from home.

Three points away to a team like Everton is a good result. I didn't know this wasn't on TV, any reason given for it not being shown?

Also why are we having a lunchtime kick-off if we aren't on TV,
German SKY showing Everton United on SKY channel 1 and Chelsea v Arsenal thirty minutes later on SKY 2.

I can't remember the last time we had a 3 O'Clock kick-off away from home.
Wigan away last season - 26th February. The one where Chicharito scored early on, with him doubling the lead late in the game, Rooney getting a goal as well as Fabio.

EDIT:
Our line-up last season at Goodison:
Van der Sar
Neville - Vidic - Evans - Evra
Scholes - O'Shea - Fletcher
Nani - Berbatov - Giggs

de Gea
Smalling Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Nani Fletcher Giggs Anderson Young
Rooney
--
Lindegaard; Jones; Carrick, Cleverley; Welbeck, Hernández, Berbatov

I'm thinking Carrick and Berbatov will start in the Champions League game, so be on the bench for this (though both have a realistic chance of starting). I wouldn't drop Ferdinand, Vidic, or Evra still, it's only going to fanny around with the back four even more than we already have. Let's face it, our most solid and consistent back four (once we can keep everyone fit) will include those three. Vidic needs games and he'll miss the UCL game anyway.

Nani and Young will surely come back in, although I wouldn't be that shocked if Rooney is left out in favour of a different striker (but I'd rather see him play). Midfield could be anyone, but I'd like Fletcher in again and Giggs to return for some creativity from the middle. Cleverley to come on as a sub for the last half an hour. Anderson just for more energy as this will be a tough away game.

If we lose this I'll be worried about the title I must admit, despite how early in the season we are. Any win will do, I don't mind about the performance as long as we can win this and the UCL game in the week.
