Everton vs Manchester United

Great result. Need Carrick back if Cleverley cannot stay fit.

Was Cleverley ever replaced in the second half. It didn't fecking look like it. Couldn't keep the ball for more than 30 seconds in the 2nd half. Berbatov was absolutely woeful when he came on. Apart from that good result, decent first half display, good defensive performance in second half.

Shocking by Valencia. Shocking. Decision making has been awful since his introduction.

Might not have been the prettiest but it's 3 points. What's up with Cleverley??

Thank feck for that

A win at Everton is always a good result. Our next 10 fixtures SHOULD allow us to catch Citys 5 point lead. Today was an important first step.

Interesting the radio commentary saying 'the points were never in doubt' yet reading the Caf we were extremely lucky to win!

Anyway a win is a win and after the humiliation last week this is a big result. Hope Cleverley is ok as it seemed our performance got worse when he went off.

First half was sort of encouraging, second a complete disaster.

Any semblance of our passing fell apart after Cleverley's injury. And it's heartbreaking that we could not mount a single counter-attack with all the pace in the world. When Valencia took the ball up the length of the field then whacked it into the first defender with Rooney, Berbatov and Nani all waiting in promising positions... I died a little inside.

Backs-to-the-wall effort today; sometimes it felt like we're simply not very good at this football thing. Three points in the bag at least, that's a positive.

People overreact here
we didnt look like scoring more, but we didnt exactly look like conceding.
Balls pumped into the box were cleared, mostly by Vida

it wasnt smooth sailing, but there was never a spell where I thought we were going to concede soon

That's a good result any day of the week.

After last weekend, that's a great result.

"It's been a good structured and organised display by Manchester United. There's been a red wall and United's players have put their bodies on the line."

Pat Nevin

Not watched a minute off the match but if you listened to the CAF the impression was we were awful. I'm going watch this on Football First.

3 points does not hide the fact that we were awaful.surely fergie must be able to see how woeful our midfield is,we continually get over run week after week.....

Good first half, no so good second, when Cleverley went off we lost fluid in our play and gave them to much time on the ball, hope he's OK. We got three points and that's what matters.

Great result. Poor 2nd half from us but i'd take 3 points at goodison regardless of the performance.

Three tough fixtures in a row - away to Liverpool, home to City and away to Everton. It's been four years since we won at Anfield, and 4 years since we won at Goodison, so to take 4 points from those two matches is good. It's just the farce that happened in between those two matches.

A result was important after last week, it was the most important thing.

I am stuck at work so cannot see the game, but to be honest I would have bit your hand off for this. After the City game this was always more about the result than the performance. We were always likely to get nervy, but good to get back to winning ways.

We were poor after Clev went off and we didnt have Carrick/Anderson or Giggs on the bench.
We played with Fletch and Park in the middle.
I'm sure Fergie realizes that midfield combination isnt good enough
