When he was a kid some people at the club argued he was too small. Other people at the club believed in his ability and so forced a compromise of letting Cleverley go part-time at 16 while he improved his physique to prove he was capable of making it at United. Cleverley has had to fight at every stage of his United career. People who say he doesn't work hard enough cos the PR stuff his agent pulls don't remember how he got into the side.
