Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

Like i said - Evra wanted to shake his hand but expected Suarez to make more of an effort which he didn't, so got angry....in anycase, i speculate and that was how i started to see it after seeing those moving gifs perhaps one too many times.

Maybe i have read too much RAWK - and maybe its the slow motion, or maybe i still want to give suarez the benefit of the doubt, don't know...

In anycase, no need for "what utter nonsense" and "utter bollox", not very nice of you. I'm just saying what i started to see after the moving gifs, and didn't conclude either way. Accepting that other people's opinions may be different from yours, right or wrong, could sometimes be a good thing, try it. Shooting off the poster just because of a difference of opinion and is trying to be objective - you just end up like someone on RAWK.

If you can't accept someone has a different opinion on something then don't post on a forum - its what forums are for, debating differences of opinion, what's good about a forum where everyone just agrees with each other?

Anyway thanks for shooting down my posts as "utter tripe". Geez.

So you admit using one of the most biased sources on the net to change your mind, yet you get offended when people basically say you are talking bollocks?

Well you are. You are talking utter shit, you clearly need to take your brain out of your head, wrap it in tinfoil and bake it for 45mins at 180c until it's nicely golden and then feed it to a man called, I don't know, let's say Tony who can then drink 6 cans of special brew and maybe a greasy kebab. Then Tony can go to the toilet when he is good and ready and deposit the contents of his stomach directly back into your skull.

Then, and only then, will your opinion on this matter slightly more than it does now. Because if you are so dumb enough to buy into the scouse propoganda that Evra maybe didn't offer his hand in the right way, and so Suarez might have been confused then my friend you clearly have Tony's shit for brains.

Listen cockface...

I've grew up watching the likes of Gazza, Maradona and Di Canio plying their trade......well Suarez seems to beat them all in terms of cuntiness.

A Facebook update from a bloke I know.

"Luis Suarez!!! what a feckin legendd!!"

I don't even know where to start...

body language is so telling sometimes. Evra looking him square in the eyes whereas Suarez looking down avoiding eye contact. says it all really. Proud of our captain today.

Liverpool's stance all the way through this has amazed and disappointed me, but today they have really outdone themselves. Shocking stuff. If I was a Liverpool fan I'd truly be embarrassed by all of this.

I said the same - Evra was looking right at Suarez, whereas Suarez didn't look near Evra and completely blanked him.

Some Liverpool fans are saying Evra played the acting card in front of the cameras, being like he wanted to shake Suarez' hand then doing the wronged person act towards the camera............all in an attempt to further damage Suarez' reputation.

I mean honestly, you couldn't make it up

you really couldnt. suarez and liverpool deserve each other. it wont end well for them. this dipsticks antics will continue.

I'd love to know what he thought he was going to achieve by refusing to shake hands... I mean even if he actually does think he's in the right overall he surely must have realised that he would be absolutely slated for not shaking hands and just putting the whole thing to bed.

I dunno guys.

My initial reaction was 'cnut' but looking at it again it looks a bit more like an awkward social faux pas where neither player was sure what to do.

Bottom line though is that if Suarez honestly believed he was innocent he should've looked him square in the eye, whether he offered his hand or not. There may be debate about whether he's a racist or not but there can be no debate left that he is a coward.

Neither player was up for it, that much is true. But the liverpool "fans" that accuse Evra of dropping his hand are pathetic. When a player gets snubbed on a handshake, he is left hanging for a second or two. Suarez never even stopped, his hand just glided past Evra's. How in the world can some people defend a convicted, punished racist over the victim is laughable.

Evra is hanging back some what but definetly prepared to shake his hand.

Suarez has no interest in even looking at Evra, and it was quite obviously pre meditated.

Prick. If either player had any justification for blanking, it was Patrice naturally.

Some LFC fans on twitter were saying that his refusal to shake Evra's hand proves his innocence. :wenger:

That's how fecked in the head they are.

Exactly. In fact you could say that Evras reluctance was due to Suarez not even looking at him.

Basically, if you honestly believe you're innocent you hold your head up high and look the other guy dead in the eye don't you? Or is that just me?

In fairness he hasn't been convicted of anything.

Hi, mate. :)

Check out Olly's pic above.

Sometimes football really is much more than just a game | Observer editorial | Comment is free | The Observer

"Football has done as much as any industry to address racism, yet the contrasting post-match reactions of the teams' managers, Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson, demonstrated a profound difference of opinion about the importance of how we deal with these situations. In those interviews, Dalglish appeared blinkered, determined only to defend his player and protect Liverpool Football Club. Ferguson, by contrast, cut a statesmanlike figure, understanding that here there is something at stake that extends far beyond mere football.

Kenny Dalglish proved the depth of his humanity with his extraordinary efforts to comfort and counsel the grieving families of the Hillsborough disaster; he does not have to demonstrate that he is a decent man. His stance throughout the Suárez case has not, however, seemed to engage with the gravity of the situation and its wider ramifications"

If he did, Suarez missed a chance to look the good guy by grabbing Evra's lowered hand.

Skholesy the 'utter bollox' comment was not meant as an attack on you per se but a dismissing of the viewpoint that was growing that suarez was somehow innocent today. which is basically utter bollox

Understood. Sorry, having two people dismiss your opinion in quick succession as utter bollox didn't sit well with me - though in the end i have to agree, the opinion that i formed purely on the slow motion gif was, in the end, utter bollox, so you were right.

Nicked off Twitter :

YAWN : Suarez Version

Through a Race storm
Don't hold your hand out high
And don't be afraid....of the Darks

Allright you, i already gave credit to TheReligion and Legend16 for calling me out on my dumb comment, and i realised i was wrong, and accepted it having had the benefit of seeing the incident real time. As i said, my opinion at the time and it was just an opinion, was based on a slow moving gif from a bad angle. I didnt say if i was right, or wrong - i never even said evra refused to shake his hand. I was just speculating, wrongly as it were, based purely on the moving gif and as such understood if some people looking at that gif would have agreed with the general RAWK view.

I was wrong. Fine. Now regarding your comment on Tony, you, get off your fecking high horse - are you telling me you've never done anything stupid in your life? You've never gotten anything wrong? You've got the fecking IQ of the most brilliant man in the world?

So, i tell you what. Next time you get something wrong, I don't know, a math question at school or something, or forget your keys, or wallet or whatever - reflect back on your post, and perhaps realise that maybe you, my friend, could also be so dumb that perhaps you have tony's shit for brains too! ;)

Indeed :)

But in all seriousness here, I kind of see the point you are making but do think you are wrong. Alright Evra's hand wasn't fully extended, but you've got to expect there was still reluctance. The fact of the matter is though he clearly looks at Suarez, offers his hand and Suarez walks straight past without even looking.

Jesus, aren't the British a bunch of drama queens eh?!

We won the match, Suarez is a cnut and we don't have to play Liverpool for another 6 months at least. Time to move on!

Yup, I know i was wrong, having seen it real time..few posters including you have pointed it out, and i eat humble pie.

-Evra, according to SAF had decided to shake his hand
-Evra even tried to grab Suarez' hand
-Evra immediately complained about Suarez' non handshake.

These are not the reactions you would expect of a person not willing to shake a persons hands.

Again, rather than simply accepting Suarez was wrong Liverpool fans looking for non existent reasons to defend their man.

It's completely obvious. Even Hansen and Shearer on MOTD thought it was obvious and there is no way they would have been as unequivocal in their condemnation of Suarez if there had been the slightest doubt that Evra had set him up.

Same with the journos on the Sunday Supplement.Olly Holt went as far as saying he'd watched so many times it was boring and he can't buy into the scouse propaganda that it was a set up

I've read theories from scousers claiming that Evra created the whole scene as some evil mastermind and it was his goal all along to make Suarez look bad :wenger:

Liverpool fans are mental midgets - always blaming others for their problems. Suarez could have apologized to Evra and we all could have moved on to other things like enjoying football. Thanks to those pathetic idiots (Suarez, Kenny and Liverpool fans), we are still dealing with this shit. Stupid bunch of idiots.
