Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

"Mr Evra denied using the words "South American" when speaking to Mr Suarez. When it was put to him that he had done so, he seemed genuinely bemused. He said to address someone as "South American" in this way is not something he would do. He said "What's the sense? What's the point?". There was no evidence of Mr Evra using this phrase on any other occasions."

Also a simple apology would not have placated Evra after that, and rightfully so. Glad he took it this far.

Rood that's just disgusting, get it down.

King Kenny

Yeah, but you can explain his reaction - he is a dinosaur, and was playing to the galleries. Oooh, I know, this will get them singing my name louder.

But the club has a legal team, a PR team, a CEO and God knows what else...Not one person saw fit to not release a statement that looked ludicrous at the time, and with the release of the full report, reminds me of this guy

I think they are rendered usleless by Kenny not deferring to them.

Kenny was elected by the mob and is revered by him, anyone that stands against him would be hounded out of the city. I'd say the owners are sweating bricks over Kenny. No matter how shit he is on or off the field he's unsackable.

He is Mr Liverpool

Oliver Holt has just tweeted:

I have nothing but respect for LFC and Dalglish but commission report justifies a ban for Suarez. Hope we can all move on now.

Seriously??

If a lawyer did see that statement (directly after the announcing of the ban), which I find very hard to believe then he must have been overruled or too scared to express his opinion.

It was emotion fueled rubbish.

Totally, it wasn't even subtle, one's jaw was open way before the end of the first reading.

With Liverpool's owner and Chairman being based in the USA, I wouldn't be surprised if Dalglish put the statement out without it being ok'ed by his superiors.

In fairness, he's probably more asking Klanfield to accept the ban I'd say. Out of hope.

Fair point.

I think they will - have no idea how they could justifiably proceed with an appeal.

But any statement from them now can only be hollow. I really believe that they should not be allowed to get away with how they have acted.

Having said that, am not expecting any action against them.

Totally, but it's intersesting the way Holt padded his 'move on' request with how much repsect he had for Pool and Kenny.

Ironically, Holt's comments about Nani earlier in the year were bordering on racist dislike, I thought.

Wow. Having seen that report I'm quite shocked it's only 8 games. We make all this effort to kick racism out of football and ban someone for only 8 games when found to be guilty of clear racial abuse.

I have only read the report on BBC not the full report.

Absolutely disgusting.

8 games? Absolute Joke.

We should get a RAWK like letter campaign going - make sure the FA don't reduce his ban once Liverpool make their appeal.

In fact the FA should make it clear to Liverpool - appeal by all means, but if you lose, he misses the rest of the season - the ball is in your court, little scouseritos.

I was trying to find a way of playing devils advocate here and seeing it from all points of view. I was going to say, at the end of the day, it still comes down to one mans word against another.

However, it doesn't. Suarez admits he says "negro" 7 times, I believe? I mean in a heated argument, it's pretty fecking ludicrous to think that people will believe you meant it in a friendly way - he obviously did not, and this came across in his interviews.

I am trying to see it from the point of view of a Liverpool fan who defends Suarez here, but I just don't see how he is defensible anymore. Are there any Liverpool fans here who can give a reasoned argument for why their man is innocent? All I can find on RAWK is childish, racist bollocks along the lines of "OMFG FERGUSON'S ARMY ARE GHEY HAHAHA".

You've got to hand it to the FA and the independent panel for their handling of the investigation. The claims made by Evra were quite serious and it's good to see that actions were taken to fully investigate the situation. The findings make Liverpool's statement and stance all the more shocking and idiotic.

Liverpool are really in the shite here and Kenny leading it all is just going to make things worse.

If I was Liverpool, I would have waited until TODAY to read the FA's recordings, consult my legal team and then announce something along the lines of "We do not condone racism at Liverpool FC and Luis Suarez willl now serve the ban and pay the fine which the FA have issued."

And that would have been the end of it. No t-shirts, no campaigns, no appeals. None of this is going to end well for Dalglish, Suarez or Liverpool Football Club.

But then Plan, you are thinking with common sense. LFC and many of its supporters are being completely blind to reason. As they say - you can wake up someone who is sleeping, but you can never wake someone who is pretending to be sleeping..

We all trot that out but they are a huge company with American owners, how the feck did it happen? I was really worried by their bullishness at times, thinking they were creating a storm because they had something up thier sleeves. But no, they were just being spazzos.

I did have a fair bit of respect for Liverpool FC but this whole incident has eradicated it. What a bunch of Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime, they should have massive fine and another 8 games on top if they appeal. Absolutely ridiculous that they thought they could continue to bullshit their way out after the decision was made by the FA. I wonder where this whole negrito thing came from too...

John Henry twittered the "Kenny to post DVD" statement when it was due. He's well aware of everything and there's no chance this passed by him.
