Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

Lads, help me give a rebuttal. I'm aware of the basic holes in his opinion. But could do with some help destroying it

A wise man said don't argue with a fool.

Simple thing to do is stop talking to that person. Forever.

As well as that they decided Evra was a credible witness even though he has wrongly accused people of racially abusing him before.

This is an outright lie.

What bothers me, is this part of the statement they put out tonight..

Evra is going to be a marked man at Old Trafford and the next few games between the two teams, however, with the way they've been going on in this case that they aren't plotting to gain some revenge. I for one wouldn't be shocked to see Liverpool players suggesting one of our lot said something, either during the match to the ref, or after the match.

The way this has progressed I wouldn't find it surprising in the least. Wonder who they'll pick? I'd expect Chicha.

A Liverpool supporting friend of mine on FB.

Classy response from LFC. Proud to support them. Lets rock n roll, tonight with a nice wee win at the blue side of manchester. YAWN

What's worse is he's usually quite a normal person. He's got a few responses and I can tell you he's nowhere nearly as bullish as he was a few weeks ago.

Suarez has accepted calling Evra by a term which is unacceptable in this country.

I rest my case.

This statement is nothing more than something to keep their most unstable fans 'happy', isn't it? I'm sure a brief glimpse at the corresponding thread on RAWK would prove what a great job it's doing. It reads like it was typed by one of them.

As far as the rest of the world goes, it's shameful. I'm genuinely surprised they haven't learned from the mistakes of the first one.

They say there's been an injustice but that they're unwilling to fight it. Yes, that's the Liverpool way, never ones to fight what they consider an injustice. Get real, Kenny and co.

They are just trying to take higher ground and trying to show the matter as being in a gray region, atleast from a third party perspective. the point they regularly seem to miss out is their player being clearly found out.
I'm surprised about their owners keeping away from such matter but then again individually that leaves them well off so as to make themselves distant from any affects.

I'm sick and tired of this argument about cultural differences and what words were used.

("fecking hell, why did you kick me"), Mr Suarez said ("Because you are black").
(2) In response to Mr Evra's comment ("say it to me again, I'm going to punch you"), Mr Suarez said ("I don't speak to blacks").
(3) In response to Mr Evra's comment "("okay, now I think I'm going to punch you"), Mr Suarez said ("okay, blackie, blackie, blackie).

is there any culture anywhere that does not consider the above sentiments racist. how did those fecking scouse scumbags manage to make this argument anything other than it is. a white guy racially abusing a black man. and in what upside down universe have they managed to convince some out there that the black man is the bad guy cos he took offence. its quite simply unbelievable

I'm worried that he's not though. There is an above the law quality about the modern game and players. An outrage only lasts until the next news item.

I can't see this not permanently tainting the club in the eyes of all non scouse fans.

'A wise man told me don't argue with fools
Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who.'

Now with added Boss-ness.

This line is also applicable to everything Liverpool say:

Jay-Z said:
Well - we don't believe you, you need more people

If it was that much an injustice they would have appealed the ban rather than resort to cowardly posturing in statements.

I replied to that chap lads, using a bit of everything I've read. Shut him up fairly sharpish.

Surely the FA will have to issue a response the that statement, Liverpool are basically accusing them of holding a kangaroo court.

The fans doing that is one thing, the club, doing it officially is something else... surely you either appeal it or accept it.

If The FA doesn't take any action towards Daglish and/or Liverpool after this mess they've left themselves open for any kind of abuse in coming cases and they won't be able to charge them, without said clubs pointing out that Liverpool got away with worse. Just mind-boggling really, that a supposed professional organisation treats a case like this in such a bad way. Both their statements have already been ripped to pieces by caf posters, journos and anyone with half a brain, so I won't bother highlighting the amount of flaws in them. You could write several books on the flawed logic, inability to look at evidence, contradictions etc etc in those statements if you had the time.

As many others have said I used to have some respect for Liverpool. Nothing left now, after the way they've handled this whole situation and I really hope (and think) that it'll hurt their club for years to come. Most of their die-hard supporters will most likely stick around, but I think many of their part-time (and foreign) supporters will stop and think twice if this is a club they want to be associated with. Would be quite interesting to see their merchandise sale in the next few years compared to the past few. As I've said before in this thread (and others have as well) I can also see a few sponsors avoiding Liverpool after this mess.

He said it 7 tiiimmmeees
Without saying sorry
He said it 7 times

Cowardly cnut!

He said it 7 tiiimmmeees
But he's still the victim
He said it 7 times

Quite a few possibilities.

Well i tell you what we do. Don't make racist Remarks.

I have a natural hate for Liverpool due to our Rivalry but the way they have handled this Suarez situation has made me lose all respect for that club. I'm actually glad their losing the City as we speak.

fecking disgusting pigs. By not appealing they are effectively telling us that their legal team couldn't find a loophole strong enough to reverse the ruling and risk another game banned for frivolous appeal. So they get around it by making a statement on their own site and yet they'll get the same chance to plead not guilty.

Well in you fecking spineless cnuts.

Edit: not.

Totaly agree, I also can't believe that even without appealing lfc have continued to dig an even bigger hole for themselves

If they're that adamant that Suarez is innocent, why are they not appealing? Makes no sense - if they feel they have a case, argue it and of not, just accept it and move on.

Why they didn't say "it was a misunderstanding and he's sorry" from the start I'll never know....even if he didn't mean it, it was an easy solution - whoever has advised him and released these statements have done an appalling job.

Because it was us.

Too sensible for the muppets, plus this would only have worked if they had kept quiet until the outcome of the investigation, instead they thought more mud slinging at Paddy and hiding behind alleged 'cultural misunderstandings' would be the best way forward - as you have said - an appalling job.

I'd like to know more about King Kenny's alcoholism.

This is great entertainment.

Me too, I think that really hasn't been discussed enough.

KKK being drunk could probably be the reason for the crazy statements coming out of the club.

That's what I think, too.

And I bet he gets to away matches in the Spruce Moose.

Kenny: don't worry about the coach tonight, lads, I've got our transport right here.
Gerrard: Erm, that's a 7-inch long model airplane, boss.
Kenny: Indeed it is, Stevie. Now everyone in!
Gerrard: I'm not sure we can all fit into...
Kenny: *cocks hammer of revolver* I said...Get. In.

Has the suarez/fullham incident been viewed by the fa yet, because an extra 2 game ban could really send KKK over the edge.

He got a 1 game ban which has already been served.

Knew they'd come out with such a statement, logic and integrity don't come into it for them.

I just hope somebody whether it the press the FA or Evra's legal representation tear Liverpool a new one for this because it's just not acceptable.

Hmmm Lawro sounded like he was going to go into some depth about his drinking before realising he'd probably said far too much.
