Literally every single person I know or have spoken to about this, thinks Suarez was entirely in the wrong...and that includes several Liverpool fans.

I only have so many rose tinted glasses I can hand out.

I’ve learned that approximately 10” is now 0.3cm

I'd give up if I were you. You are literally the only person who actually believes this. Even RAWK know deep down its complete bollocks and no amount of crying about the whole of the Internet being against you (it's called disagreeing by the way) is going to change that.

It's clear as day what actually happened, if you see something different to 99.999% of people, maybe question your own view?
 
I couldn't believe it when I saw an article attributed to Glenn Johnson about this episode - I didn't really want to read it, but did, just in case the headline didn't reflect anything actually in the article.

What a kn*b, what part of "move on" does he not understand ?

It's water under the bridge as far as most people are concerned, I don't think he's doing anybody any favours by going public with this - not even Suarez.

I'm sure he read the Liverpool version of the report, that has also been handed out to RAWK posters. The 115 pages have been trimmed a bit, and the report is now summed up in just one phrase: "Suarez is innocent and we've got no proof, but he's getting banned anyway".

I made the same argument on the day, when Liverpool supporters started saying that Evra didn't put his hand forward. Suarez just goes past Evra, but for some reason waits a few seconds for Rio to put out his hand and looks genuinely surprised when it doesn't happen. It's a fecking pathetic excuse even IF Evra didn't put his hand as much forward as he did when other Liverpool players passed him.

If you look at the clip Evra is really nervous about the handshake and who can blame him. The racist however completely blanks him, look at the Rio attempt, he (the buck toothed racist) clearly holds his hand for Rio to shake.
 
I won’t be swayed on this one; Suarez is an embarrassment to his club in a pretty despicable kind. But I can clearly see our Pat very subtly drawing his hand back a second before Suarez might or might not have shaken it. Just showed my father in law the clip as well and he says the same.

It was never going to be popular in here to say this, especially to 99.99% of you but f'ck it.
 
Nah, our fan base is diverse enough for someone genuinely that blinkered to he amongst them.

It's not popular because it doesn't make any sense, or even tally up with the especially angled video which you've posted to try and back it up. If Suarez had wanted to shake Patrice Evra's hand, he could very easily have done so. It's not as if Evra held his hand aloft above his head and then repeatedly dodged Suarez's attempts to shake it whilst grinning like an evil genius.

I don't think anybody really cares if your father in law says the same. To be honest, if I knew disagreeing with you would result in some torrent of sarcastic bile, I'd probably just agree with you too, whilst silently thinking you'd gone a bit mental.

Also "on here"...is there a secret world of neutrals out there who agree with you then? I'd wager I don't know a single person who would agree with what you're saying, and most people I know don't like Manchester United very much.

Evra's hand was slightly down yes, for a reason. But the fact remains it was still there to be shaken and wasn't. The guilty party then apologised.

How is this hard? It happened, an apology was made, now you can go back to your conspiracy theory websites and tin foil hat.

To paraphrase the recent Liverpool banner, they're not racist, they're just dangerously obsessed with Manchester United to the point of condoning deplorable behaviour from one of their players.
 
Glenn Token really has shown himself up here. His comments show him up as someone with no insight or actual knowledge of the events and then he throws in some mad conspiracy theory about Evra plotting it all the night before, no doubt in his volcano lair while fighting off James Bond.

No one can show you how to see. It's clear as day. What you see there is Suarez going right over Evra's hand, which continues to move toward's Suarez' hand, which we've all seen.

But then if you can't see that, what can be said? Try looking at it from other angles as well, perhaps, start the clip a little sooner, this one starts just about half way through Suarez blanking him.

Mediawatch was just about to go to sleep last night before we saw Glen Johnson's interview with The Daily Mail, but after reading it, bashing our head against the nearest wall (apologies to everyone in number 23) and driving a nail through our eye to make it all stop, we were reminded of Big Abe's words.

There are so many questions raised from Johnson's interview (no least why 'No comment' was not a perfectly acceptable answer when asked about the handshake), so we'll just concentrate on one bit.

Referring to Paul McGrath's criticism of Johnson joining in with the Luis Suarez t-shirt farrago, Johnson is quoted as saying:

"The McGrath thing...that's actually racist. Saying what he said is racist. He is only saying that to me because I was the only black lad wearing the T-shirt. He's targeting me because of my colour."

Interesting. So one black man was being racist against another black man. Using Liverpool/Suarez's logic - specifically that if a man has a black grandfather he can't be guilty of racism - Johnson is rather barking up the wrong tree there, no?
 
People are amazingly stupid, aren't they. Yes, someone having the opinion that the t-shirt was inappropriate and should have been discarded, that's racist because you suggested it to a black man? Is it racist to suggest black people are likely to be more aware of racism?

Amazing someone can graduate from high school and not be able to think.

It can be seen on this slow mo HD clip that between 0:22 and 0:28 Evra retracting his hand to almost by his side for the Suarez handshake after holding it out for the other players. He only lifted it up after Suarez had passed him.

Suarez held his hand out much more positively for a shake than Evra.

Looking at this i believe Suarez would more than likely of shaken Evras hand if he had kept it held out.

Look at the still before playing it, that is not offering a handshake, Evra was the one who pulled his hand back and then made the big gesture afterwards.

Sure, I think we can agree that Evra wouldn't have been jumping with joy at having to shake Suarez' hand, but it wasn't like Evra pulled his hand completely away, and his arm wasn't straight down by his side. His hand was still extended enough for Suarez to shake it if he wanted to do so.

Suarez didn't even look at Evra once, it's quite clear that Suarez had the intention of going right past Evra and straight to De Gea. Rio pulled his hand away completely, but Suarez attempted to shake his hand. A few questions:

If Evra pulled his hand away, why didn't Suarez attempt to try and shake his hand just like he did with Rio?
Why did Evra confront Suarez at HT about it - another part of his 'masterplan'?
Why did Suarez apologise for refusing to shake Evra's hand?

Liverpools PR people will not be happy about these comments, they would have much preferred the handshaking fallout to be the last of it, I'm sure the owners will be having some words with KKenny over this..... it'll cause nothing but more disruption for them, can't imagine what was going through GJs head, as I'm fairly certain they've all already been told to zip it
 
I think Dalglish and the fans will love this. The yanks and the people who apparently run the club (sponsors) won't though.

I'm personally glad they keep dropping to new lows. They are, to a man, pathetic.

more importantly why is it being viewed in slow motion. I believe the incident happened in real time. and in real time there is no doubt what happened.

little anecdote. packie bonner told me once that when roy keane was having issues in training in saipan there was a great picture in the paper of keane on the training ground throwing a bottle at bonner. according to packie they had just shared a joke and keane was throwing the bottle on the ground. the angle of the camera shot made the story. which Packie and roy laughed about the next day. you can make most things look how you want when you skew the perspective. suarez was in the wrong. he and his club apologised. anyone with an ounce of sense would leave it there

The last part there is true. A frozen camera shot can look like anything if you get it the right way, and I'm sure there are camera shots which make it look like Evra was withdrawing his hand. Only the video evidence can really tell the full story in most cases though.
