F1 2022 Season

I don’t mind who wins the championship but Ferrari coasting away with it isn’t good. Red Bull need to sort their reliability out and Mercedes need to find some pace otherwise this is going to get dull fast.

Oh and the usual in here with their agendas seriously make this thread unreadable half the time. It doesn’t matter what happens in the race the same bellends will make everything about Hamilton. He’s not going to feck you. It’s weird as feck.

I've been following F1 for nearly fifty years and I've never seen such like behaviour from any fans. You're the one to identify Racism, have a look at yourself because you don't necessarily have to be one to look an awful lot like one.

This is sport, we all 'hate' certain opposition players/teams, formula 1 is no different in that way
 
Forgot the race was on, toddler woke me up. Was making him breakfast and alexa read out the news which included the race results. Bollocks. Anyway caught up with the thread. Will watch the race tonight now after toddler is asleep.

I hate knowing the result of a GP without watching it first, but shit happens.

Lastly, dont know why anyone rises to the rubbish that mariachi-19 posts. I've never added anyone to my ignore list on here, despite how heated it gets at times. But hes close. Got a lewis sized chip on his shoulder.

Are you fecking kidding, just look at the shit against max since November last year. Schumacher has kopped it from British fans the moment Damon Hill threw it up the inside at Adelaide and pissed away his title hopes.

You said Racism, I gave other reasons but it's up to you to look at yourself.

Schumacher kopped it because of all sorts of reasons which I'm not going into but if you're saying it's something to do with Hill being taken out in Adelaide then I think you've got it the wrong way around.

Schumacher took the racing line he was entitled to do, Hill was just too impatient and fecked himself.

And if you hadn’t noticed, most of my digs have been at Mercedes and their deluded fans on this forum thinking they’re going to make up 50+ second a race by race no. 6.

Lewis acting like a twat in the race over the radio is just the fire starter because him acting like that when he’s been in this position is what we’ve seen his entire career. The same way Schumacher parking it at Monaco in 2006 brought up the bad memories

For someone who has been apparently following F1 for 50 years, you dont half come across badly on here.

This season is a new era in F1, biggest changes in F1 for 40 years. It will take teams time to understand and and unlock the potential of their cars. The grid order will change throughout the season. By race 10 ferrari will have the least amount of CFD and wind tunnel time, Mercedes will gain more (presuming they are 3rd or 4th in constructors at that point).

No one anticipated porposing nor can they test for it in CFD or wind tunnels. Until thats resolved we wont see the true potential of any car on the grid (RB aside whos clever suspension setup, seems to have eradicated porposing).

So the likes of Mercedes making up the gap to ferrari or RB isnt impossible now. Previous seasons yes, it would have been impossible.

Fair enough that you think Mercedes have a Turkey of a car, whereas myself and @paulydyson1 think they might come good. We will find out with time. Nothing wrong with good hearted banter which does get heated at times.

But you do need to think before you post mate, sometimes your posts come across badly and i can understand why one or two think they border on racism even though that wasnt the intent.

I can well remember the Schumacher era and some of it was because of what he did to Hill.
Some of it was because the racing was boring and predictable.
And some of it was simply because he was such an unlikable narcissistic git.
And that my friend is not racism.

It wasn’t the safety car he was complaining about at the end, he was being told to lift and coast every time he was just about to get into DRS range.

No, it’s pointing out that different fans like different drivers and just because you don’t like a driver from the way they conduct themselves in a sport (which is usually associated by supporters of the opposition who have been on the receiving end of a hammering or two) you cannot expect them to like that same person or that team.

It’s no different to pointing out the fact that Max and Redbull fans have had to endure a multitude of shit on this forum for the last 4 months despite Max doing nothing wrong other than driving his car past their favourite driver to a world title. Christian Horner did what every person in his position would do and lobbied for green flag racing knowing it would be advantageous for his driver.

Also, I’m just on here pointing out facts like the Merc is a dog and Hamilton moans a shit load when things don’t go his way. It’s not unsurprising it pisses off Hamilton fans on a predominantly biased forum.

Isn't most of what you posted also true for Hamilton, so why do people get so worked up when a couple of posters show their dislike for him. Max has received a lot of flak for his title win last season, controversial as it may have been (not his fault), but I don't see the same passionate defending of him.

Lewis comes across as a complete moaner to me even during the best of times, so it's not really a shocker that people dislike that side of his personality, especially seeing that he has won 5 out of the last 7 WDC.

I love Michael. He’s my favourite driver of all time.
But we simply didn’t hear radio transmissions back then.
If you think he wasn’t on the radio back in Austria 02 for example demanding that Rubéns let him past then I massively disagree. And Michael often did get the preferential treatment from his team so had less to moan about.
 
Early days but that's a huge lead for what looks to be the fastest car and arguably one of the best drivers.

Ferrrari seem to have a car that is proper fast in all conditions, I think at the moment Red Bull will only win at the higher speed tracks. Anything with a lot of corners Ferrari will win at a canter.

Mercedes somehow keep digging out results with a half working car. If they can get their act together they might still win the constructors :lol:

It seems like Red Bull made a deal with the devil last year, their luck sure has changed.

Come on man Hamilton is held to different standards to all the other drivers you should know this by now. All the other drivers are allowed to have a moan except him.

Anyway, George and Lewis are getting the best out of the car at the moment. Mercedes seem to have made some small improvements but still a way off Ferrari/Red Bull. Leclerc is brilliant and he's going to run away with this championship.
 
Hamilton clearly and rightfully still resents the blatant robbery he had to endure last season… yet global sport is 50% entertainment these days and any prolonged dominance does not help keep the interest high. Other than that, any fan base is biased and no top level sportman is immaculate… add to this, drivers really risk their life, so it’s a double hammer to see entertainment prevail (that’s why that race master was sacked indeed). As for Mercedes’ troubles, you know… the car always makes 80% of the result, the rest being how cool the driver’s head can stay under pressure and Verstappen… nope, he is not able to keep his cool at all yet, that’s also why so many are still questioning the cadeau he got last year.
