Max will catch Leclerc on the track, and plus Leclerc will have to pit again.
Sainz is losing time to Russell and Perez… Ferrari telling him the opposite
To be fair, 4 points in a Williams isn’t that easy to get especially when you see all the Mercedes powered cars underperforming this year.

He was around 15 seconds behind Leclerc, and he is more than 22-23 before pitting. And Leclerc wasn't quick either. So so late. And I doubt this risk with softs will pax off.
But why though, wasn't this supposed to be a 1 pitstop track.

Ferrari got the strategy correct today. He will pass Perez on softs. Lec had to try something against Max either way Max will win.
I think they took a necessary risk. Only way they could possibly beat Max was with a safety car pit. But it looks like it won’t matter. At this stage he probably needs to pit again for softs and cement second.
Ferrari had to risk it though with Leclerc so early in the pit, no way he would be first anyway if he stayed out. They can hope just for another safety car now.
