Wow well done, mature as usual
Oh I've noticed alright. I suppose I shouldn't waste my time, there's some of them still whinging about hill and Schumacher from 94 after allSo am I, how haven’t you noticed this about them![]()
Don’t know what’s got your panties in a twist this morning, you need to relax.Wow well done, mature as usual
So the not full race distance points are only relevant if a race is called off before it ends?
In other words.... if this race had its start postponed and restarted with only 20 minutes left, it would still qualify for full points.
Stupid stupid wording.
I'm fine thanksDon’t know what’s got your panties in a twist this morning, you need to relax.
GreatI'm fine thanks
Given how teams have an army of lawyers to analyse the rulebooks to find any loopholes it’s a bloody miracle for them to find one which almost nobody knewNo apparently it's in the rules they're saying.
It’s embarrassing for the sport that two titles in a row have had rules which were either amended mid race or were unknown to so many in the sport.![]()
So does that mean Spa last year would now be full points? That’s proper mad surely?
I mean I hate it too, but the way some of you are desperately trying to downplay Verstappen's title is even more embarassing.
He is quite clearly the best driver on the grid, and would have won it anyway quite easily.
Also rules are there for everyone to see it, no one made them mid race anyway.
Because it was stopped whilst this one was only ended due to time running out? So theoretically if they restarted this one 30 minutes later and only got 12 laps in it would be full points? No, the rule around what points are awarded for races of that type of scenario was changed after Spa.
My post has nothing to do with Verstappen. He was going to win this championship regardless of today. My issue is with the inconsistency and management of the sport from the regulators to the media. It’s embarrassing.
Yeh, he needs to go to a different team if he wants a world title I think. Ferrari will always implode.

And if you want a clear indication as to why the rules have been written wrongly on reduced race distance/scaled points, under the rules as written, a resumed race that ran to only one lap could (would if Japan precedent applied) be full points.
Even without the ridiculous mistakes in the first half and if he had his max possible points - they were just not fast enough in the second half of the season though, I think Max would've romped home regardless. He's probably the only (young) driver on the grid capable of beating Max to a WDC any time soon so hopefully Ferrari can sort their shit out.Yeh, he needs to go to a different team if he wants a world title I think. Leclerc is going have to work to reign in some of the errors he has in him for next season.
Which errors? He was driving on terrible tires and keeping Perez who was probably more than second and a half quicker than him, probably even more at the end. He was losing that place in the final lap so he pretty much tried cheating because that was the only way to stop Perez overtaking him. The fact that he kept Perez behind him for majority of the race was impressive considering Red Bull's pace.
I swear Leclerc is the only driver here whose slight errors(which aren't even his errors) are exaggareted far more than any other drivers.
Just if he wants to beatt the likes of Hamilton and Verstappen if he has an equal car with them then chances are he'd need to avoid the like of Imola, France and even here.
He isn't very error prone at all but he is slightly more so than the likes of Max and Hamilton and that's who he is aspiring to compete with.
And I believe he is the next best driver after those two so I rate him very highly
Yeah max would have won it but the real question is would he have won it if red bull had not cheated and overspent on their car? ... if the fia actually enforce their own rules le clerc and ferrari could still win it this yearMax would have won it no matter now or later. Congrats to him. LeClerc needs to add some more maturity, as do Ferrari. It was quite evident, they were lost at points so far in the season after being out of a championship reckoning for so long. Now just hope, they have wised up to secure the 2nd place in the constructors.

Looking forward to see who the real champion will be next year when they hand it to max again
