We're on for an incredibly boring season it seems, short of the new Mercedes sidepods having jet engines hidden in them.
Alonso complementing the car 
Aston need to keep developing this car. This is the best car he has had in a decade and there are barely any serious competitors. Long term it can easily be a winning project.

Red Bull dominating wouldn't be so bad if Perez had some fight in him to make it competitive. But he isn't challenging Max.
Least the F1 went well for me this weekend.

I'd absolutely love an Alonso vs Max fight. Agree re Perez, he reminds me of Bottas, he's fine but nothing more. Wonder if he'd be allowed to fight Max if he was better?
Toto is fed up.
I go back to last season when he was actually ahead of Max in the first few races; Barcelona comes around and he happily accepts a strategy call to put him 2nd fiddle and Max jumps him in the stops. He finally stood up for himself a little towards the end of the season but too little too late. At least when Vettel was at RB occasionally Webber would fight him.
Aston Martin will have a load more development time than RBR this season so there's a chance Alonso might get a bit closer or be in position to take on Max, it will be fireworks as I reckon Alonso won't give Max the same amount of leeway Lewis did.
On the last point, it's a no until someone in the RBR driver program turns up, they have got a pretty good setup when you think about so there's no need to change that chucking in driver who will challenge Max, they can dominate both championships until the next regulation changes.
Jees, just caught up with the GP. Season is sown up for RedBull. No one is catching them with a budget cap in place.
If you want a graph to visualise how much floor downforce the RB has, look at the wear on the soft tyres
At least with Hamilton we always had the potential of a decent team-mate battle (aside from Botas) with Rosberg, Alonso, Button, Russell, but with Max he is so far ahead of everyone else it's a one team, one driver season.

One of the worst days in racing? Really Toto? Some of last season's races were way worse for Mercedes.
If Redbull win the first 10 races at a plus 20 second distance, i can see f1 changing the rules to slow them down.

I used to enjoy F1 back in the day, but I fell out of love with it. I don't have Sky which doesn't help.
But I put the Channel 4 highlights on at 9pm and I have a question: at one point they showed a 'drivers view' and you could see the steering wheel was basically a 7" LCD and it was flashing up 'brake alert'.
When I play Forza on Xbox I have it so red chevrons come on when I should be braking. Is this essentially the same?
If so I am done with it. (Again)
A few years ago I read that a F1 car could be piloted by computer (like a Tesla autopilot) without a human onboard and get top poll times. If they are getting 'brake alerts' well give me a job, I could ride an F1 car for 20 million a year and let the tech help me win - give us a job!

I do wonder how F1 continues in this day and age and I am surprised e-F1 never caught on. All these extremely rich teams and drivers with their fast cars and private jets, bombing around the world to put on these races: it is not very 'Greta Thunberg' is it?

Obviously it remains to be seen the extent to which this is implemented - but they're clearly conscious of it
If by eF1 you mean esports on the Formula 1 game, it's because Codemasters/EA have the licence and make a dog shit product. No F1 driver plays it either, unless doing some promo thing. The ones who play sims all play iracing, and maybe rennsport when that launches.
No I wasn't referring to that, it was the thing a few years ago - formula one type cars but electric (I think the problem was they had to pit every 20 mins for a re-charge) I got this off wiki:

Love to see Ferrari right on course for their allocation given Bahrain is clearly the halfway point of the season
Context isn’t it, they had much worse races than this but the reality is now they wasted time and resource on a concept for this car that will never take them back to the top and they are now nearly a minute per race behind.
Beaten by a team they supply half their car to, no real light at the end of the tunnel as their next upgrade is still on a flawed concept.
The reality is today, Mercedes are accepting their fate as another season without really competing for anything and now have to switch concepts to something other teams have a couple of years head start on. Brutal reality.
I really don’t understand why they kept the no sidepods this season.
