F1 2023 Season

I’m skeptical about the new format. I like the idea of compressing practice & giving the teams less time to test, analyse & tweak stuff overnight, but Friday afternoon quali for a Sunday afternoon race seems wrong.

I think P1 Friday night, sprint quali sat morning, sprint sat afternoon, quali Sunday morning & race Sunday afternoon could be interesting for the sprint weekends.

At least McLaren have found a bit of pace at last. Mercedes have some new friends to play with in the mid pack.

QUALIFYING: TOP TEN
1) Charles Leclerc, Ferrari
2) Max Verstappen, Red Bull
3) Sergio Perez, Red Bull
4) Carlos Sainz, Ferrari
5) Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes
6) Fernando Alonso, Aston Martin
7) Lando Norris, McLaren
8) Yuki Tsunoda, Alpha Tauri
9) Lance Stroll, Aston Martin
10) Oscar Piastri, McLaren

Much more positive from the Mcclaren.

Lewis looking carefully at the Ferrari, as they’ve surprisingly made significant leaps forward despite only changing the downforce of their rear wing.

Not convinced Leclerc will keep that pole after the next stages with the sprint etc. but I really hope he does. Will change things up a bit at least.

I'm sure they've turned the engine up a bit as well.
