F1 2023 Season

Crazy how long it has been since RB won at Silverstone though most of that was Hamilton in the merc.

Technically Max won at Silverstone fairly recently in the Anniversary GP. 2020 or 2019 I think.

They just hadn't won't the British GP because they where shit in early hybrid era and really unlucky the two years before this one.

Is this real? I can't tell what's parody/serious/trolling anymore
I tend to ignore them TBH
Some Max fans are insufferable, Lewis wining all the time it was boring it was FIA favouring them , now Max is winning all the time , it’s all Max.
Some Lewis hans are as bad.
All I want is good racing from 3 or 4 teams, not just one.

Ah the comment didn't bother me, I was just curious because it was weird.

Love seeing Lando up there! Awesome.

Gutted for Piastri though. The boy deserved to be on the podium. Still, 4th is a really good finish for him. I really hope they can keep this up.

Relatively boring race to be completely honest. But, very happy for McLaren. I was shocked how easily they kept their positions despite being on the hards. And they’d have easily finished 2 and 3 I think if there was no safety car.

Ferrari nowhere again. AM definitely fallen back now too.

Strides forward for Williams and McLaren. Expect that at some tracks where their weaknesses are pronounced, they’ll still struggle. But big progress nonetheless.

Relatively poor week for me on Superbru, 13 points only.

TBF saying Max Super Max isn't that weird. It's just from a song, its not that deep really

I'm not aware of the song, which is probably contributing to why I thought max max max super max, all in caps, was a bit strange

Yeah it's a song from the Pitstop Boys. You'll pretty much hear it at every GP being played on repeat haha.

The penalty for Stoll is such bullshit. He went off the track, carelessly came back on and took another car out, ended their race, then only gets a 5-second pen. Nonsense decision.

Really not a fan of Stroll. He's so careless and clumsy. Good job daddy is in charge.

I know it's still too early but IF McLaren are this good until the end, then surely questions must be asked within Mercedes? Behind Aston Martin for the first half of the season and then behind McLaren for the second half of it, again, potentially. Both using Merc's engines. All while saying "we don't know how to fix the car" for the second year.

An official made a mess and got fired. So, how do you translate this to "Max knows a bit about cheating."

Also to add to that Somehow I don't think Scarlett got the memo on the illegal Ferrari engine, Spygate or the 1000km illegal tyre test by Mercedes.

No team has a squeaky clean slate in this sport.

Ha I don't think you're that naive.

Guess everyone is cheating in F1 then. May the best cheater win.

 I dont think you know what you are actually writing about. Did the Latifi crash happen because someone paid him too? You know the billionaire son Latifi.
I know exactly what I'm talking about and you're obviously a fanboi who won't see what happened was wrong. It wouldn't be called a controversy or investigated if it wasn't. Max didn't directly play a part in the "human error" but I must say it all seems quiet convenient and the timing of it laughable.

Think there's plenty of criticism that can be fairly directed at Verstappen, but I really don't think that incident is one of them.

It was, of course, absolute bullshit. But it wasn't engineered by Max.

So he is not a cheater after all?

I said he knows all about cheating. I never said he directly cheated. It was all too obvious and his team benefitted. Whether he knew about it or not isn't something any one of us can comment on. Nobody would have wanted to win like that surrounded by all that controversy and doubt. He seems like he's on the way to win this one and let's hope it's not tainted by any shady human error or decisions.

He won it last season too. Was that "tainted"?

Yeah he's the absolute worst - the man is seemingly allergic to mirrors. Obviously no one is as bad as Mazespin was but in my opinion Stroll versus De Vries is a genuine toss up in terms of actual driving ability.

Mercedes know what needs to be fixed on the car, they just cant do, financially under the cost cap. If you look at rear quarter of the mercedes, where the sidepods swoop downwards the diffuser and rear tyres, its plain to see its way under-developed than some of the rivals.

Hamilton couldnt keep up with norris in T13/T14/T15, thats because the mercedes is suffering from rear end grip and stability and the Mclaren was "a monster" through that section.

Now, there is a elephant in the room, which both mercedes and ferrari need to acknowledge. Why is it we as joe public are told the sidepods arent everything and the whole car is a collection pf parts that come together to give you performance. However AM first and Mclaren now have found 1 second improvement (which is unheard of in F1) by changing their sidepods to those that closely resemble RBs sidepods.

I continue to remain confused by f1 car development under these current rules.

Ferrari 9th and 10th, how do they fall apart so badly on a Sunday?
Ferrari are a fecking shambles. They pit leclerc and sainz so early that no-one else bothered to react. Then under saftey car brought leclerc in and didnt put him on SOFTS, when there were less than 15 laps left. Sainz wanted to come in for SOFTS, and they told him to stay out of the hards when most of the grid had pitted for SOFTS. Its just comical and its sad for sainz and leclerc that their own team is hamstringing them.

It's absolutely fecking insane how inept their strategy team is. How are these people still employed??
